I've been looking for a travel stroller for ds (4) for WDW with tray/cup holders both for child & parent, basket in bottom, and one hand fold-down feature. Yesterday at Walmart I found the Jeep Cherokee All-terrain stroller for $79.99. I like the look of it, the larger wheels, the side bags plus all of the other features I mentioned above. Does anyone have any experience with this stroller? Is it durable and easy to handle? Does it travel well? Is it sturdy enough for a 40 lb. 4 year-old? Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA

i dont know the stroller, but heres my question about it.....does the tray in front of the child come off and on easily? our century capri tray just snaps on and off. with a 4 yr old who will be hopping on and off it quite a bit you want to be able to toss the trey into the basket and onlly pull it out when you need it.

Personally with a 4 yr old I have found it a lot easier to use a stroller that doens't have the tray and to buy one of the cup holders you can attach to the frame. Also remeber if you will be using WDW transportation the bigger the stroller the more troubl it will be to carry. You might want ot look at the manual before buying. I have found that many strollers are for 30 or 35 lbs and under. We just purchased a combi SUBV and love it. It folds very small and is light weight. It doesn't have the one handed folding but that didn't bother me. It does have a shoulder strap which I find very helpful when you are trying to hold on to the stroller, a child a pocket book and who knows what else. the weight on it is I believe 45 lbs. I know it was at least 40 or I wouldn't have bought it .

I recently bought the Graco Breeze light weight stroller. It has one hand fold down, large cover, reclines and has a removeable tray for my DS who will be turning one on our trip next week. It also has a large basket on the bottom and cup holders for parents as well. I've been using it with him for over a month and he's actually fallen asleep in it twice! Because of his age, I needed a fully reclined stroller. Not sure of the weight, but I believe it is about 15 lbs. I purchased it at Sears for $49. Didn't want to bring my big, heavy, $$ stroller on the trip. Also, if it gets damaged or lost on the flight, I haven't invested too much $$ on it Also, the handle is tall, which is convenient for me since I'm 5'6".. Good luck with your decision.

I don't know anything about the stroller you mention - but when I read Jeep Cherokee stroller...I think big...really really big :) :) :)

Just for clarification - I said I think big because of the Jeep Cherokee part (joking here :) ) I have never seen the stroller and we are past the age of needing to buy one - but it sounds super :) I just thought the name was funny - sorry for the confusion

Hi I saw the same Jeep stroller in Wal-Mart. I had my 3yr (34lbs.) old sit in the display model
She had room to grow and I am definately considering it for our trip in April. I didn't think it was that big to deal with.

Thanks so much for all of the advice. I did find out that the weight range is only up to 40 lbs. I've been trying to find a comparable alternative with a higher weight limit but so far have not had any sucess. I'm surprised at this limit because this stroller looks a bit larger and sturdier than others of the same type. I was, however, hoping to use this for vacations for the next few years so I think I would need at least a 50 lb. weight limit. Do they make strollers like this that also fold down?

(BTW, I found out the front tray is detachable)

the only strollers I know of that have a higher weight is some jogging strollers and some special needs strollers

Just returned from WDW and used the Combi stroller for our 3 year old - what a life saver! It was so compact and light and we loved the fact that it folded so small with a carry strap.

I purchased the Jeep Wrangler stroller a couple of weeks ago. Our daughter will be 2 in April and we are going to DIS in June. I really love this stroller. It folds up like an umbrella stroller yet is strudy and stable like the larger ones. It's handles are 44" high as opposed to 40 or 42" which is standard on most. this is very important as I am a guy that is 6'1". I can walk comfortably with it and not step on the wheels either. there is no bar across the front, which i like, easier in and out for Madison. there is a suspension system on the front wheels for a smoother ride. A sun canopy that flips down with a little on the side as well. A drink holder for the parent and it does recline. There is only one drawback to this stroller: it has a nice basket under the seat but there are folding crossbars that run right thru the middle. A small camera bag might fit in the basket under the bars, but a large baby bag will be inconvienent. BUt as of now, this will be the stroller going to Dis in June. And we do have a jogging stroller, a graco lite and a larger Graco 4-in-one thingy. I bought it for $55 i think at www.babysupermall.com. good luck with your search
