Jedi's, Princesses, and Johnny Depp! Oh My!! Liam's Wish Trip!

Just popping in to see if you are feeling ok. I know the first trimester can be rough!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. The first trimester is truely kicking my butt. I am literally counting the days until it is over.

But back to our adventure. I totally forgot to finish the racoon story in my last instalment. As we were walking to the castle of miracles we saw the house with the racoon was roped off and a man was sitting in a golfcart watching it. The racoon was walking around the driveway. It was almost commical because it appeared to be almost drunk though I know it must of been sick. I tried to keep a wide birth of it for safety, but of course it happened to be the house right next to the trail we planned to take. Everything was fine though and we didn't see it again.

After we were done at the Castle of Miracles we decided to take a ride on the Carosell. I took some pics but unfortunatly it was on the camera I lost. The kids loved it so much that they decided to go on it twice. When than decided to head to the Gingerbread House for dinner. We truely felt like royality here, as soon as we got to the end of the line of the buffet a nice volenteer would wisk away our tray and bring it to the table. Everyone was so nice and cheerfull and the food was pretty good too.

We than headed back to our villa to relax a little before the Candy Land Party. Or villa was a great place to be for this party since it was going to be at Matthew's Boundless Playground. Unfortunatly it started raining right before the party started (it had been raining on and off all day) and we noticed that the party wasn't starting even after the rain stopped. Finally I called the front desk to see if it was cancelled and they told me that it was going on at that exact moment at the castle of miracles. So I grabbed Liam and Mia and we were off. (Jason stayed with Aidan. He was crabby from not taking a nap)

We had a great time at the party. Mia danced her heart out with the gingerbread man, Liam pretty much stayed glued to my side, we all enjoyed yummy icee's, and the party ended with a good night song from grandfather clock. We than headed back to the villa, got ready for bed, and had lovely dreams of the great time we were already having and the awsome times we were about to.

So here is the end of our first day. Day two we head to Hollywood Studio's and Liam gets to fight Darth Vader. Until than.

Have you seen Matty's pre-trip report??? I had no idea that the Gingerbread man came to the Candyland Party! How cool is that!

I think if we could just hold all rain over GKTW and Orlando for the wish kids, I would be super happy!

Subbing! I have cystic fibrosis as well, diagnosed at 4mo. old. I had a wish trip when I was 10 back in 1996! I love seeing all the GKTW pictures because I dont remember much from our trip, BUT we get to go back in 3 weeks for our wedding!

I am feeling a little bit better, but still have some bad moments. Ahhh. Only two more weeks until the end of my first trimester and mayber I can get back some of my energy. Enough about me and back to the trip report.

I am very tierd, and since I am pregnant my body is refusing to do anything more.

Sadly that has happened to me too! I try to do mine in notepad now and save every so often and then paste but I forgot on the last TR some of the time and had 1 or 2 installments go POOF! It is like magic, but not the kind of magic we like! LOL!

So here we try again.

We woke up nice and early the next morning very excited to be spending our first day ever at Walt Disney World. I honestly couldn't tell you who was more excited, me or the kids. I am kind of thinking it was me.

So we headed to Castle of miracles to see Mickey Mouse (only to find out later that he was at Julie's Safari ) Thinking that we were to early, we headed to the Gingerbread House for breakfast. On our way there who did we happen to see, Mary Poppins. I took some pics but unfortunalty it was with my ill fated camera. (more about that later) We had a great breakfast, the volunteers basically treat you like royaly. Liam loved the fresh waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Yummy!

We than headed back to the Castle of Miracles to see Mickey. This is when we relized that he was at Julie's Safari. We quickly headed over there only to find out that he was on a break and wouldn't be back for a half an hour. Knowing he would be back in a couple of days we headed out to Walt Disney World.

The first thing we did when we got to Hollywood Studios was head over to the stollers. I used the GKTW pin to get a single stroller. Even though I had brought a double stroller for the younger two kids, I knew that Liam would get tierd quick with all the walking we were going to do. I than took a quick look at the map and we made our way to the ride that Liam had been talking about for months. Star Tours.

I showed the GAC to the CM watching the Fast Pass lane and he let my excited son and brother through. As me and the two younger children were waiting for them to return we watched the end of the Jedi Training Academy. Turning to the CM I asked him what time the next show started and explained to him that my son would really want to be in the show. He smiled at me, telling me when the next show started but than warned me that there was no gaurantee that Liam would be chosen to participate. I simply thanked him thinking "we'll see" in my head as I walked away.

About two minutes later, the boys came through the exit very excited about the ride they were just on. I told Liam about the show and he was very excited about being part of it. I told him to wait for a minute and walked to the side of the stage where I saw a CM standing whereing the same outfits the CMs at the ride were wearing. I asked her where it would be the best place to stand to get chosen for the show and than that Liam was on a Make a Wish trip and it would make his whole trip to be part of the show.

This was one of the first magically moments at Disney. She told me to wait a moment and when she came back she informed me to come back to that same spot 5 minutes before the start of the show so that the stage manager could see Liam and he would be definatly chosen for the show.

This first picture my brother took in the gift shop after the Star Tours Ride.

I love this picture because it show how excited Liam is about being picked.

This a great shot of the back of the great outfit that was made for him from the Big Give.

These last two pics were the kids training before the big fight.

You can't see it, but Darth is stretching his hands at Aidan right now and Aidan was using his hands to push him away. Very cute.

These last couple pics are from the photo pass (Thankyou Mary) of Liam fighting Darth Vadar. He couldn't stop talking about it.

At the end of the show they were handed certifacates saying they were offically Padawan Learners. Even just today Liam tried to use his "Jedi" powers to bring a toy to his hand. He sat there on the couch with his nebulizer mask on concentrating so hard on making the object come to him. He than looked at me in disappointment saying,"but I am a Jedi." Laughing, I reminded him that he was still just a student in the ways of the force.
