I just read that at WDW they have changed how kids are picked to "train" with the Jedi's. Kids now line up and the first 15 or so kids get to participate. Have they changed to this system in Disneyland as well. I want to be properly prepared if we decide to go to the show. Thanks

Unless things have change in the last 2 weeks, it's still the same as always. Kids sit behind the line until they are called by the guy on the stage.

I watched the show on Monday, and it was the same as usual, with kids being picked from the audience.

I am glad to hear this and hope they keep it the same. The anticipation was part of the fun. Not standing in line.

I want to see them change the age requirements. Or at least have a show where the older Jedi in the audience get the chance to live out their childhood dreams.

The age is around 4-9. You can improve your kid's chances of getting chosen if they wear a Star Wars shirt and/or have a small sign. We did this when my brother and I went to Disneyland a while ago with our cousins. My brother and cousin wore matching Star Wars T-shirts, sat in the front, and had little signs that read "The Force with with me" with an arrow pointing at them. They were picked first! :thumbsup2

[And yes, I would love if they extended the age requirement. :darth:]

:) The ages listed in the info. on DLR's website are 4-12. My DS participated when we were there for his 12th birthday. It all depends though on how old the child might look. If someone is 11 or 12 and is very tall and looks much older for their age, they might not get chosen even though the official age is up to age 12.

Oh yeah, thanks! :thumbsup2

This is really helpful as my son really wants to get picked when we go, so i will pack one of his star wars shirts, Thanks :thumbsup2

We sooo wish they would switch to the line idea. DS REALLY wants to do this, but ends up acting too shy during pick time and never gets picked. UGH!

for his 7th bday DS wore a black bathrobe and did the trainingfor his friends with the same script and the kids LOVED it. Then we had lego ships for the kids to put together and the kids took lightsabers home. They had a blast!
