First timers..clothes ????
We (husband, 7yr.old grandaughter and myself) will be going to WDW on Oct.31- Nov 13. I am not a shorts type person...more jeans and t-shirt type. Would I be sorry wearing jeans or denim capri length jeans in Nov.?? Will I get that wet on the rides?? Any suggestions??

It could be hot in November, or it could be cool...and both in the same trip! If you're used to wearing jeans in warm weather, you'll probably be OK. But maybe bring some shorts along so you can change if you get uncomfortable.

You could get moderately wet on Splash Mountain, and soaked on Kali River Rapids. Those are the only wet rides I can think of. And you can always wear a poncho to keep your jeans dry. (You won't be the only one in a poncho.)

I was there Nov. 11-18, of 99. The first three days were very warm, day and night. End of week turned chilly at night but still warm during day. Bring both!!!

My DD is the same way. We are going in Novemeber also and she said she wont put on shorts. I told her I think it will be to hot for jeans. I am going to pack some shorts in my suitcase for her just incase. Michelle

Last year we visited Nov. 5-10. I only wore pants at night, and I think that was just one night when dd and I went to Yachstman Steakhouse. Otherwise shorts all the way, and we also swam every day. A good friend went the very next week, and it was so cool she wore her jeans everyday and never swam. Also, crowds were especially heavy that first week in Nov. due to a NJ school vacation week. I believe that's happening again this year. Just FYI.

Have a great trip!:D

I live in south FL and I live in shorts and t shirts. I find jeans very uncomfortable. In Nov , you will have to bring a variey of things -from bathing suits to jackets and hats. If a cold front comes through , it could drop to the 40's (yuck!). Hopefully, we will have great weather this year (low 70's would be nice).

Is there another kind of pants you'd consider wearing? Maybe something lighter than jeans but still not shorts? Lots of people wore capris this (hot!) summer, but mostly the light weight cotton kind, not denim. It also depends on if you'd rather be too hot or too cold. I always dress in layers cuz I have to be just right :)

We went in Nov and didn't take enough shorts. You will need shorts in the daytime and jeans and a jacket at night.

the gap has really nice stretch pants that are soft and lightweight. I'm also planning on bringing sweatpants for evening, a long black skirt for dinner (but that will be inside my resort).

We were there the first week of November last year, the mornings and nights were cool (60's) and I wore jeans at night. Mornings turned into very warm (70s to 80s), but comfortable afternoons (I would suggest wearing a light jacket in the morning with shorts or capris to go to the parks). I put dresses on my dd with pants in the morning and pulled the pants off at the park by 11am.

But, as another South Floridian mentions, a lot depends on whether a cold front comes in or not although Orlando tends to be cooler than it is here. I would think jeans though may be hot for the afternoons, especially if it's sunny. Keep in mind the sun is very hot in FL even in the winter.

I agree that light cotton capris may work if you're uncomfortable wearing shorts. You might also consider cotton walking shorts for comfort. It will likely be quiet warm in the daytime with a little bit of a nip at night so jeans might be very uncomfortable waiting in lines in the sun.

I saw some nice light capris at Penney's earlier this year. They were very thin and light-weight so I bought a pair. They're ALMOST as cool as shorts. :)

In years past we've loved going at Thanksgiving and still continue that tradition. Last year we arrived the Sunday before Thanksgiving and it was 80º and sunny. The next day it was a high of about 40º and blustery wind. We fortunately had some of each type of clothing. This year we'll pack half for cool weather and half for warm weather. Be sure to have a jacket or sweater. I think capri's will be nice because those would be comfortable with a jacket in the evening. Just be prepared or you'll be making a trip to WalMart (as we have done in the past).

I agree with the other posters, but I just wanted to add one thing. When you ride a wet ride, it's always best if you aren't wearing denim. It will not be comfortable when it rubs you while it's wet. Khaki pants or capris will wear wet much better.
