JcPenney Revises their Revised No Sales Except When We Have Sales Plan!

Would have to be really great sales since now I feel a general dissatisfaction with their store.

This is not a case of sour grapes :confused3
In the process of trying to "improve" their store and appeal to customers
they got rid of all my favorite products :worried:
No more St. John's Bay Ultra-Tall career wear slacks.:furious:
It's hard to find good pants like those when you have a 35 - 36 inch inseam.
I was a loyal customer and bought most of my clothing from them- they simply do not care.
They will never see another dime of money from me:sad2:

We still shop at JCP. They have some great prices on Clearance.

I was at the store on Black Friday when they did have a sale. The place was JAMMED! I'm glad they are bringing back some sales. I just hope they are not everyday like Kohls. Kohls just jacks up their prices to put everything on sale.

A friend was told that JCP is bringing back St Johns Bay in Feb.

I was a very loyal JCP shopper and I have to say I maybe shopped there 4 times this past year. One of those times was when they gave the $10 coupons for rewards members.
I'll stop in again. Can't say it'll be my go-to place again but I'll give it another try.

Also, I hope they keep the stores 'uncluttered' as they are now. I hated the racks and racks of too close clothing. They narrowed down their inventory and it looks much nicer.

Good, hopefully the curtains I want will go on sale now. ;) Unless anyone has a coupon?

I'll walk in, but I haven't bought anything there since there their new supposed lower pricing no sale strategy. I used to get a bunch of clothes there for my Mom. Now almost every time I shop there and find a shirt or pants I want for Mom, I can walk down the mall to Macy's and get it at half the price JC Penney is charging. If they don't have it at Macy's, I get online at other stores we don't have here, and even with shipping costs I still get it significantly cheaper than Penney's supposedly low prices. If their prices go back in line to what others charge for the exact same merchandise, I might shop there again. Otherwise, no way. I still might have issues shopping there because I just feel like they were being dishonest and trying to pull the wool over customers' eyes with their supposed low pricing. It feels like they didn't expect their customers to actually price compare, or thought the customers weren't smart enough to do so.

I agree. My sin wears a 28/34 which are seldom on sale anywhere and I found 3 pairs last month for under $10.

I used to get all my jeans there - St. John's Bay Ultra-Tall. I can't find any that fit me as nice as those did. :headache:

Your JcP still has curtains? :confused3 Ours got rid of them when their target customer became a 15 year old girl. :rolleyes2

I shop way more at Penny's now than I used to. I hate guessing when something may be on sale for cheaper. That's why I do not shop at Kohls. I find Penny's priced reasonable for most things every day, and they do still have clearance racks.

I hope when they bring back the sales they also bring back quality products. It doesn't matter to me what the % off is if it isn't a decent quality.

I just read the article and was coming here to post the same thing!!

I haven't shopped at Penneys since the new system - except for Black Friday.

It may 'look' nicer, but it has to be killing their bottom line even more.

In retail, its all about revenue per square foot of floor space. The more merchandise, the more revenue per square foot. With their holiday sales down over 25% from the previous year, their 'uncluttered' look had to cost them a FORTUNE in lost revenue.

I honestly don't know that they can recover from their switch to "fair and square". They've alienated too many shoppers at this point who have moved on.

They are currently overpriced on everything from Nike to Carter's.

I use to be a loyal Penny's buyer; we always bought dd semi formal dresses for school dances there. I have not bought anything there in a year, as they have nothing in the store! I would rather dig through racks of too close clothing then go in there and find nothing!:confused3

While the store may initally appear less cluttered, the quality of their clothing leaves something to be desired. Many of their racks in the Junior and Womens dept filled with so called clothing acually remind me of costume wear. Right now they have some floursecent clothes with shirts that are of the like with long cowboy fringe hanging down in the front. I mean really when did you last see people women walking around schools, works etc with that type of clothing. When they do clearance this substandard clothing out they will almost have to give it away. Poor quality, less merchandise in the stores even if on sale or clearance will they ever be what they use to be?
