Signing on because I am doing an adult trip in October of 2014. A couple of comments:

Thanks for the heads up (unintended though it may be) about quarters in M&Ms containers and TSA.

I have never done a trip report and am planning to so I see I don't have to wait for my PP+ pics to show up to start. Just make sure to have a camera.

The mall you went to in Tennessee looks incredible. I have the Mall of America 30 minutes away so I have access to all those venues but didn't realize the other possible locations.

I am a lot older than you and leaving my adult children and 5 grandchildren at home. Still doesn't matter because my name is Wendy and I refuse to grow up.

Oh goodness...I feel for you in more ways than one, my friend. I feel bad for Caden's asthma flare up. Been there, done that. I think we even had this conversation on our Dismeet about the asthma. Who I REALLY feel bad for is Mommy and Wayne if poor Caden is on a steroid....I know exactly what they means in regards to little boy behavior... Like I said, been there/ done that. Praying for all of you!

This is my first time writing a TR also, and as you can see, I am failing miserably so far! I just can't seem to find time to get on the DIS. Right now I am *working* and should totally be doing other things! LOL

OMG...yes...the steroid! That kid was wearing me out. Thankfully, we are done with the steroid, the asthma is back under control, and we are only doing 1 breathing treatment per day. Thanks for the prayers.

Another Update - FINALLY!

So, I last left off with us walking through the gates of MK! I snapped this picture on my phone as we were walking in.



We were so excited to be in the park. I love that feeling of walking down Main Street for the first time of the trip and just taking in all the MAGIC! We didn't have specific plans, although we were definitely hungry and also had a few FP+ that we might try to use. As we strolled up Main St. we stopped for some Photopass Pictures of course!





We snapped a few more Photopass pics as we headed to find some lunch. Can you guess where we were headed for lunch?



We decided on Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. It was pretty good on our last trip and it wasn't crowded at all. Wayne and I both decided on the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and thought we would load it up with topping from the Toppings Bar. Wayne had fries with his and I had the cucumber salad.



I realized about halfway through my sandwich that I had forgotten to take a pic! Whoopsie! Anyway, the sandwaich and the topping bar were just okay...not quite what I remembered. The topping were very lacking and I just but caramelized onions and sauteed mushrooms on mine. The bun was VERY dry and a little too heavy for my liking. I still ate it all, but in reality it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The cucumber salad however was DELICIOUS!

After we finished eating we realized it was about 2:45 and there was still time to use our 2:00-3:00 FP+ for The Little Mermaid Under the Sea ride. So...that is what we did!











I liked the LM ride okay. Just another typical "dark ride", but since I love the movie and the music it was FUN!

Once we finished up on LM it was time for us to use our second FP+ for the day. This one was for 3:00-4:00pm for Space Mountain. We arrived right at about 3:01 and we were off on our space travel. I just LOVE Space Mountain...SO MUCH FUN!!

When we finished Space Mountain, our next destination was to use a FP+ for BTMRR between 4:00 and 5:00pm. We knew we had some time to kill, and the 3:00 parade was going on, so cutting across the hub to make it back to Frontierland wasn't really a great idea and we weren't up for extra walking by trekking all the way back through Fantasyland. So...what do you do in Tomorrowland to kill time? Well...Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor of course! This was something new for Wayne and I both! OMG...it is totally now on our MUST DO LIST! It was hilarious. When we first entered the theater before the show started I was checking my phone. Next thing I know my picture is up on the screen with some caption about being on my phone! Hehehe...it was fun to be part of the show!

Once we finished with the Laugh Floor it was time to squeeze in that last FP+ before heading back to our room to get settled. We headed back across the park to Frontierland...snapping another photopass pic along the way.



We managed to arrive at BTMRR at exactly 4:00. We were having really good Pixidust with ride times for FP+. We caught a ride on BTMRR and it was definitely as fun as I remember! After our ride we knew it was time to head back to BLT, get settled in our room and get cleaned up for our fancy dinner plans.

After exiting the park we decided to walk back to BLT rather than wait on a bus (since the resort monorail wasn't running between 11am and 6pm). It was a nice little walk. We had received the text that our room was ready just after 3:00 while we were in MK, so once we came in the front doors we hopped on the elevator and headed on up to our room.

I think I shall stop here for now or I am going to have too many pictures!

Great update!!! So glad that all of your FP+ times worked out so well for you... I am a bit nervous about planning for those.

We have not eaten at Cosmic Rays since our first trip - we did stop in there for a glass of water on our last trip though. Bummer that your meal was lacking, but the cucumber salad does sound interesting.

I love that photo of the two of you kissing in front of the Castle - how sweet.

And yay that your room was ready! It looks like you had a great first day in MK!

Aughhhhh...you torture us with stopping before BLT room pictures!!!! Great update. Cannot believe you had not seen the Laugh Floor yet, that show is definitely a family favorite for us...so stinkin' funny! Love it that you got to be a part of the show!

Sorry you were disappointed with Cosmic Rays. We usually hit up Pecos Bills for sandwiches and toppings bar fare. My fave at MK is Columbia Harbor House, though.

I wasn't all that impressed with the Under the Sea ride either. Like you said, typical dark ride. I am really looking forward to the Dwarves Mine Train!

I have to say... FP+ was amazing! It really made touring easier. I think it helped that I am a good planner and know what things we like to do and I always have a general order / direction of movement through the park, so I simply scheduled them to fit where I thought we would be at the time.

I am super happy with the PP pictures. They turned out so good.

As mentioned in the comment above...I really enjoyed FP+. It worked great for us!

I don't think we will go back to Cosmis Rays again for a while! Guess it's time to find a new MK QS place to eat.

If you like the LM movie then you will like the ride. It's definitely fun and of course the sing-a-long music is my favorite part.

Don't stress about the FP+...it's really pretty awesome. Don't get me wrong I think a few tweaks are necessary and I'm not thrilled with the new tiered system, but I think once it rolls out 100% it will be a good thing!

Hahaha...I could torture you even further with no room pics. I didn't actually take most of them until our last morning! I won't torture you though...the room pic update is coming soon!

What's up with Cosmic Rays? Strange. Anywho...it's off our QS list for now.

Our FP+ for this first day was perfect. I didn't really expect to use our first FP+ for the LM ride from 2-3pm, but we had great transportation pixiedust and it all just worked out. It was especially nice for our first day when we didn't arrive in the park until 2:00 and lots of rides had longer waits. We waited for NOTHING!

Thanks Mo! I am really pleased with my pictures from this trip...both the ones I took and the PP pics. I tried not to spend the entire trip behind the lens, but I did want to capture some fun shots (like the balloons and castle pics).
