You know, this is terrible, but the first thing I looked at was her teeth! I had read somewhere that she had not seen a dentist in 18 years, neither have her children. So, I was expecting really bad teeth...But the picture does look like her...when you compare the two.

I don't know...it's still a terrible tragedy. My hope is that twenty years ago, we read about her 31 and 35 year old daughters and how well they are doing. I know it's a "happy" ending, but I just feel so sad when I read or hear about her.

I was thinking the same thing, but after living like that for all those years, she probably has a need to "get it all out" of her. Talking to People mag may make her feel "normal" again.

Not to mention, the money will probably help her get back on her feet. I can't imagine she would be ready to enter the workforce anytime soon, so the money People is paying her (and I am sure it is a handsome figure) will help her and the kids get the therapy they will need, and help them start a new life.

Some people are blessed with strong teeth. Just because you haven't been to a dentist doesn't mean your teeth will fall out. If she brushed her teeth, than she wouldn't have rotten teeth.

I was watching Jane Velez-Mitchell last nite and they were talking about this photo. The Dugard's spokesperson said that Jaycee and her family wanted to start coming out of hiding on her terms and felt it would be easier to slowly release photos than to suddenly be pushed into the spotlight.

Right now,Jaycee and the girls are in a secluded area and it was reported they are receiving animal therapy,which is supposed to be one of the most effective ways to help people of all sorts of trauma.

It was also said that Jaycee is looking forward to testifying at the trial. Se feels empowered and wants to start moving forward with her and her daughters' lives.
