Jaws closing for good on Jan 2

Oh I saw it--it's kinda hard to miss. But the reality is it is still only a rumor at this point, no matter how detailed or often repeated.

I am really disappointed with this if it actually comes to pass.
Keep Mr P in IOA, expand into the Lost Continent and that should be enough.

We've got a thread discussing those plans. Kinda strange that if it is a real leak, no one has asked the writer to remove the info.

Companies -- smart companies anyway -- rarely do that anymore, unless the info compromises a trade secret. Otherwise, the info is already out there -- and if the company asks for it to be removed, they're admitting it's real. So... the move basically does more harm than good.

I am really disappointed with this if it actually comes to pass.

One of my co-workers says that he has talked to the workers who will be building what is replacing Jaws and that it is indeed to become one of three parts to Harry Potter with a train connecting both theme parks. I did not know that we were not supposed to talk about this with the guests until after I had done so while over taking pictures at the shark during the last day of Jaws at the request of Universal Studios. While some guests were in the store to buy their pictures, they asked the assistant manager about what they had heard; and he said that we had been instructed not to discuss this with the guests. Well, nobody told me!

There were also rumors that Jaws would be replaced with a Lord of the Rings attraction, which I had hoped were true.

The goal with Harry Potter is to make it a two-park, thereby a two-park-ticket attraction if I am getting the straight scoop. This would make sense since all of the time we get people at Universal Studios who are looking for Harry Potter while holding a one-park ticket so over and over and over I am explaining that they are in the wrong park and telling them to go to exchange the ticket immediately as their is a one-hour time limit to do so without an extra charge.

Since the "secret," so to speak, is already out on this web site, I see no reason why I cannot participate in the discussion. Therefore, I shall ask,what would you like to see included in the Harry Potter expansions?

There were legal issues with the first Harry Potter plans and one of the other sites I was on. Things had to be removed.

This makes a lot of sense. I think Universal can see the appeal of keeping people in their parks longer. We've seen so many posts that say "we're only going one day and to one park to see HP".


We loved Jaws and are sorry to see him go, but HP is amazing! I hope they put as much effort in to the next phase as they did FJ and the first phase. I love being blown away by a ride!

I was also wondering about the Nathan hotdog stand. Bummer that it's closed too. There used to be a Nathan hotdog store in Citywalk but I don't think it was open often.
