I don‘t believe DCL has left from San Diego in the January/February timeframe yet, so I guess these questions are for people who have cruised on other lines during the Winter time…
This 4-night cruise is going to Cabo in January…how is the weather, in San Diego, onboard to Cabo, and once in Cabo? Cold? Windy? Are the seas rough at that time?
Also looking at whale watching in Cabo…this looks like a smaller boat, are we going to get seasick???
Thanks!

I haven't sailed from here in Jan but I've lived here for decades and I wouldn't let Jan throw me. With global warming weather is much more an unknown but we have had mailmen delivering cards at Christmas in shorts or wearing a sweater. My brother has been in Cabo in Feb but Jan might be a little early for the whales. Cold is unusual here, not to say it cannot happen but most days we still can have windows open during the day, but there can be exceptions. The Wonder is not that small a ship, its not a Mega ship but its certainly not the Seaborne size either. I think Holland America and perhaps Carnival have sailed here through the winters so maybe peek at their boards to see what they've shared about cruise conditions. It's an easy port to get to, only 5 to 7 minutes from the airport.
