We only cruise in January and the weather has been great most of the time. We are from Michigan, though, so anything above 60 is balmy to us!!
We have always had warm enough weather for sunning and swimming, on the ships and Castaway Cay. Our second Magic cruise we were not able to go to Castaway Cay though, on account of the high winds. But other than that it has always been good, especially once we got to the Carribean. Swimsuits, t-shirt and shorts, jeans and maybe a sweatshirt at night. No problems. I don't remember much, if any, rain either. Lots of sunshine and blue skies!!
We've sailed twice on the Magic in January, and are going again next month. Both times, the weather was fine . . . sunny with a small breeze, and temps in the 70's. In January 04, the water at CC was a bit cool, but in the Carribean, the water was wonderful Of course, it helps that we're from CT, so compared to 20 degree weather, almost anything will seem warm. Have a great trip!
We just did the Western last January 3 - 10. Florida was having very nice weather the day we left. Once out to see it was definitely t-shirt and shorts weather. We swam at Cozumel and Grand Cayman, but the water was very cold! At Castaway Cay the weather was nice, but to us the water was freezing. My DS 10 went in for a short time and started to turn blue. So in summary the weather is great, but the water swim temp is on the chilly side!
