I am really concerned from all that I am reading about January 2025 being pretty crowded. I knew in past years, January was shown to be a great month for cooler temperatures and crowd levels being low outside of New Years and MLK holidays. So after all my research, we booked the last week of January 2025. Now........I am rethinking the dates. My adult kids and grandson have never been to DW and I really don't want to take them when its really crowded and most of all hot. We live in the south and we like to avoid hot weather locations when we travel. So, my question is should we reconsider the last week of January and opt for sometime in February, or even March?? I want to avoid spring break at all costs. I would love your advice. BTW, I haven't been in about 17 years so a lot of changes from my last trip.

We enjoy the last week of Jan most years, and our experience says don't change a thing with your plans. You're right - avoid NYs and MLK holiday weekend. But for a couple weeks after MLK weekend and before President's Day weekend, we've found it to be a great time to visit. That time is much better from a crowds standpoint than mid-Feb into March would be. The only gamble you take in late Jan is you might not get much swimming weather (if that's important to you), and sometimes attractions are down for maintenance during the 'off season' - but that's been true year round lately. Again, from experience, we'd recommend you keep your reservation. It might be the perfect time....... We'd also recommend the Festival of the Arts at EPCOT during that time - it's become our favorite festival!

Thank you so much. I had played around with dates and just couldn't bring myself to changing our reservation. But wanted some more frequent visitors' knowledge.

We are looking at the same time frame (third or fourth week of January) but I am hesitant to book because I read the South American groups descend on Disney during that time. We used to go in July when kids were younger and in school and they were everywhere including our resort as we always stay value. This year we were there in February and the cheer teams had taken over All Star Sports but they left after 2 days so it was not too bad. Anybody have any insight?

Whenever you choose to go it will be busy. Just pick the dates that work best for you and go.
