If you could choose January 21st 2006 7 day eastern carribean cruise or October 28th same cruise which one would it be and why????

I voted October, as January seems a little on the chillier side for me...

Wanted to also add, chances of flying out in a snowstorm are greater in January...EEK..isn't that a scary thought right now? :cold:

I chose January just because it's outside of hurricane season. Not only do I not like to take chances with my vacation, but I prefer to be locally here in Florida just in case I have to ready my home.

We've cruised in January and loved it.

I'll let you know ,we are on the Oct. 29th Magic this year. Halloween on the ship should be lots of fun , and we are going to Mickeys not so scary Halloween party on the Thursday before.

January!!! Get away from the winter cold.

I would choose Jan. (We are actually on that cruise) the weather is beautiful here in October(NJ) and it is hurricane season. We went last year in December and the weather was beautiful in all ports. The weather is January can be COLD AND SNOWY. I like to escape it for a week and think about the summer

I vote October. January could be on the cool side and the waters around CC can be kind of rough that time of year (increasing your chance of not being able to dock).

Well... last time we went in January, and this time we are going in October, so I won't be able to give a definitive opinion until then. However, there are points for both.

October is good because you will almost definitely have warmer weather on CC, so if possible coolness at the port or CC bothers you you should choose October.

What I loved most about January is that I always feel a bit let down after Christmas and that year I didn't... right after Christmas I had something big to look forward to. The weather south was perfect, in the 80's mostly, and CC was warm enough to enjoy, although that's not always the case. Plus, it comes MUCH sooner than October... the 28th would be in 2006, right?

Truthfully you will enjoy yourself either way, but I'd go for the closer date if it were me. :)

I chose January. Simply because October makes me nervous with it being right in the middle of hurricane season...
We cruised this past Jan. and loved it, and are going again this Jan!

I voted for January because I like to have something to look forward to in the winter to get away from the cold weather in the Northeast. There is a chance that it can be cool in January but I've cruised in January and had great weather and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. (I'd cruise in October too but I love the Northeast in Fall so it usually isn't a time of year I need to pull myself out of the duldrums!)

January hands down.

At home ,October is autumn and sometimes still warm enough to swim at home, its football games, halloween, and not yet miserable out. Not to mention its hurricane season which can really mess things up.

At home,January is bleak, theres the after Christmas let down, if it snows its pretty for a few hours but otherwise its not very nice out. It may not be HOT on the cruise but you can sure count on it feeling good compared to the weather at home.
