January no buy

QVCShopper, you are so right about Bean sweaters! I have several and they're great. I teach kindergarten, so believe me, they get tested! I'll be washing stray glitter out of today's....

Four*Peas, yep, a half marathon! My sister and I are running the Princess Half in 4 weeks. I've never run before, so this is going to be a huge accomplishment for me. It's amazing what I'm willing to do for a trip to Disney! I'm on a huge kick to declutter my house. We have way too much stuff, so I'm trying hard not to buy more things to add to it. That's why I'm tracking the number of non consumable things I buy. I don't count anything that is going to be used up (food, paper goods, and so on) or my sons' clothing (because really, that seems to be a consumable around here too), but I do count just about everything else. This month I ended up buying two sweaters, a shirt, two books, a pillowcase, and something else, all of which I will have to store, no matter how much I use them. I hope that makes sense!

1/31: take out (I caved!)

total no buy days: 12/10
dinners out: 5/4
non consumables purchased: 7/0

Has anyone started a thread for Feb. yet? With our trip coming up, I'll have to give my goals some thought!
