January/February 2018 discounts, who else is in?

Just got off the phone. I didn't want any type of "package" since we are military and use discount tickets, but I was able to get a small discount on my existing reservation. We are staying at a Camp Ground cabin for 5 nights over marathon weekend and I was able to save about $230 total--the original rate was an average of $379/night so it sounds like it was about a 10% room only discount.

ETA: Oh, and she said something about it being a "domestic" discount? She was having some issues with a tickle in her throat/cough so I didn't want to make her repeat herself when I didn't understand. I was just glad to get a discount!

Just clicked "change" for my resort and "gift of magic room offer" quickly popped up for POFQ then disappeared. So hopefully it will be up online soon!

I just got a 15 percent discount on family suite room only at AoA from Feb 7-12. The Visa discount only applies to certain hotels and does not include AoA so that was the regular discount that I received. I called to make the reservation.

can someone please clarify where you are seeing the discounts? Is it at the Disney Home page? I also have the Disney credit card and do not see anything there. We are trying to re-book GF.

Okay when I went to change my reservation (one of the things I'm flipping through waiting for SOMETHING different to show up) I finally got an option for "Gift of Magic" room only discount but then when I clicked on it it disappeared so I couldn't see how much it was for.

EDIT: I tried again and it let me click on it and then it said there were no rooms available at the resort for that discount. SIGH, it will eventually work!

No, I entered my preferred dates and resort and it showed a room online and a Gift of Magic package. No SPD for Cabins. BUT, I went to click on it and it disappeared. This is probably happening to the phone agents as well, so I am not going to bother sitting on the phone. It's clearly up and down today.

Same. Got the "Gift of Magic" offer for about twenty seconds. It was reducing my package price for Wilderness Lodge by about 8%, except changing our Park Hopper tickets to base tickets. Not a great deal, so hopefully it was a glitch.

Update: Ended up grabbing the room only discount then will modify later.

Covering my bases because if the SPD comes up I'll grab one of those too and them compare. Getting what I want while there is availability!

So are people only getting discounts if they have the Visa?

No, I do not have visa, or I didn't use it I should say, my DD has visa but I never use it because I get the RO offer and then when if AP comes out I switch to that, in that way I can use target gift cards and still save another 5%, with visa I can't do that. So when I switched from poly to gf and saved $800 I did not use visa. And before the switch the room at the gf was $35 more than the one at poly, so my savings was actually $135 a night, but to me it is only $100 a night. By the way the cm was not really sure what the discounts were, she kept checking the poly and I told her no move me to the grand.
