How does some time mid day on January 6th at Wilderness Lodge lobby sound?

Bump, I have 4 people expressing an interest in meeting so far. I think maybe we should see where everyone is staying and maybe make the meeting place convenient to the most folks.

We will be at OKW Jan7 - 14. We will arrive in Orlando Jan 5th. So we would be able to do a meet on the 6th! Not sure where we're staying 5th & 6th. Maybe CS, we have stayed there in the past and really like it. Considering doing the 5K - since my Bday is the next day - it would be something I've never done! Trying to talk DH into it too!

As I said up above we're at OKW from 1/5-1/12 and we're with a huge group, but I will try my very best to meet up with fellow DIS'ers on the 6th! Just praying there are no snow storms on the 5th when we try to leave Boston, last year was a bit hairy!

Count us in for Jan 6th! We are at SSR. Isn't that the day of the marathon? Where should be meet? I vote for SSR or DTD since we are there, but anywhere is fine!

Off to Neverland, I want to meet you! I read your trip reports and they made me laugh so hard and even insipred me to write my own.

I think Boo and my DD (almost 5 years old) would love to play together!)

It is gettin so much closer!

The DH and I will be at SSR from the 6th through the 11th, then finishing the last two nights of our vacation at BWV. We're on the waiting list for the whole week so send some pixie dust our way!! Our plane lands at MCO at 9:23 AM and I figure we should be at SSR around 11:00 by the latest since we plan on going grocery shopping before hand. It would be nice to spend time with fellow DVC'ers who've been there that week and tell us about the new rides since we haven't been home since September 2004. This Janurary trip is just a spur of the moment trip for us. DH works full time as a police officer and I quit my full time job (accounting dept - car dealership) to go back to school full time. I've always wanted to be a teacher so I quit my job and went back to school. That was kind of spur of the moment too!! Anyway...January is my semester break and it will be great to just get away from the snow and ice in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania. Anyone ever hear of it? Hometown of Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil the world's most famous Groundhog. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We are staying at ASMo on the 6th to save on DVC points but I would love to meet. We are moving to BWV the 7th - 13th. My parents and my sister's family are flying in from Providence on the 6th but they have their own car. We get in that morning from Denver. Let me know where.

We're planning on lunch at the Plaza Restaurant that day, but after that we're headed to the OKW pool for the rest of the day (resting up for the 1/2 marathon and Family Fun run on Sat). How about sometime that afternoon? I'm up for anyplace. VWL lobby/Iron Spike Room might be nice.

We (DH, DD's 9&11) will be making our first "official" trip "home" in January. We will be at the VWL Jan. 21-28. I hope to see some fellow DVCers!! I will be looking for Lime Green Ribbons

Since it is the marthon that day, how hard will it be to get to WL? We are staying at SSR and not sure if we will have a car or not. I have heard that transportation can be an issue on the marthon day.

We'll be ther 1/5-9 at BCV. DH is running the 1/2 marathon and I am walking/jogging it (just hoping to finish!)

So far I have counted 17 of us that will be there some time between 1/1 and 1/10. How about if we plan a little DVC/DIS board meet for an hour or so of live in person chatting? It looks like January 6th would cover the most people. If folks are up for that I would like to do it agian. We did this last December, and it was fun to put faces to names.

This sounds great. If it is during the day, we'd love to join you, but a bunch of us are doing an early dinner at 4:30 to get to bed early for the 1/2 marathon. Looking forward to hearing how your planning comes together.

The DIS meet is scheduled for Friday. The 1/2 marathon and Family Fun Run is Sat. The full marathon is Sunday. Take the bus to MK and the boat to WL. That's what I would plan to do.

Just wanted to chime in - we (me, DH and DD5) will be at BWV January 6-14. I am running the 5k on Saturday - hope to work up to the 1/2 marathon for 2007...

Anyway, Delta changed my flights, so I am not sure what time we are getting in on Friday (it was supposed to be by 10:30am, but they canceled that flight!). Plus, I need to get my race packet when we get to WDW... so not sure I could make the "meet". Have fun though! It is just nice knowing so many people are out there who love DVC as much as I do.

My vote isn't for it, just because it might be hard to get to. (not off the monorail line.)

But really any places is fine, so if majoity wants, I will go with that.
