January crowds

How are the crowds on weekends in the middle of January? Is going on a Friday significantly less crowded than a Saturday or Sunday?

I can't say for weekends but I was there during the week after MLK Day. The lines for most rides were between a walk on and certainly no longer than 20 minutes. This was during the week, we went on the Friday as well as you could tell it was much busier, especially that night when there must have been people coming after work and school, so I can't say the difference between Friday/Saturday/Sunday but I'd say a Friday would be less crowded than the weekend.

If you are going in the middle of January which is MLK weekend, it will be a little busy on a holiday weekend, but overall it won't be that crowded like a summer time weekend. Most of the weekends in January (except for the first weekend) won't be that bad. Friday is definitely less crowded than Saturday and possibly Sunday (it only depends on what is happening if there is a Holiday the next day).

On Touring Plans crowd predictions, it will be a 7/10 on Friday, 8/10 on Saturday, and 7/10 on Sunday during MLK weekend. On average it is 5/10 on Fridays, 7/10 on Saturdays, and 5/10 on Sundays in the month of January.

Sorry to hijack!

For anyone capable of answering: How about the first week of January!? I checked the local school calendars, and Los Angeles school district calender, and the majority of the school were off for Winter Break, so I'm thinking that the park may be busy.

Certain sites say that its one of the least busiest times, while others say it's busy and avoid it.

I'm thinking of going for five days, between January 2-6th, 2012.
