Hello there!

We will be joining you on this cruise!

it will be me and DW (both 20 at sailing) on our DisneyMoon!

This will be my third Disney cruise, and her second (first time on the magic)

What a fun idea for a honeymoon!

Be sure to add on the Romance package. We haven't done it yet as we're still traveling with our teen but, once she's on her own, we plan to do it. Friends had it last year and loved it.

We were really excited to do it. Sadly they did away with the romance package at the end of 2009:headache: Too many first time cruisers booking it to get the early booking of palo and excursions same as castaway club, and then canceling the romance package.

Oh well, it will still be a wonderful cruise :cool1:

Our friends had the package in January 2009. I thought it was still available. Bummer!

It will still be a great cruise. We just did this itinerary and we loved every stop. We'd done the Eastern last year and it was nice, but I was not overly impressed with St Maarten. And we started off with the 3 day on the Wonder to see if we'd even like cruising. We did -- even became DVC members last year so we'll be doing this for some time to come.

My family did a land and sea with a 4 night cruise. That hooked us. I have done a western, but it was the double dip with Cozumel and Costa Maya. Not super thrilled about Key West, but grand Cayman looks really nice.

How was the weather on it this year?

I love Key West. I've been there a few times before as I used to live in Orlando and worked for a company that did package tours down there.

It was cold the first two days of the cruise, so Key West was chilly. But we walked around a lot, visited the Hemingway House for our cat fix (I also love the Truman House -- next time!) and visited the Pirate Soul Museum, which I do NOT recommend. Authentic artifacts, but overpriced and sold as an event when it really wasn't.

Shopping in Key West was the least 'begging' although both Cozumel and Grand Cayman were also better than all the other islands we visited with Disney on previous trips.

If the weather was warmer, we could have better enjoyed the frozen key lime pie dipped in chocolate the the Blonde Giraffe is famous for. As it was, our daughter had that and we had cappucino to keep warm!

I have added your thread to the 2011 Magic Cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Thanks to Irish Cowboy for getting this thread added! and a big thanks to Laura for getting the ball rolling!

We cruised with Laura and also rebooked. I thought the ports were the best and now I have some great ideas for next year.

The highlight though was the waverunners at CC> But my neck has been bad ever since. Oh well it was worth it.

Well as I said we rebooked this but we also booked the Panama canal cruise which conflicts...we are undecided..recently though we have reconnected through Facebook with several FLorida and East Coast friends so it may depend what /if anyone wants to join us. It is unlikely that anyone that is not a Disney Cruise Freak would sign up for Panama so we may very well decide on this sailing. I hope the weather is better tho!

The other real highlight of this cruise was that so many of us made friends and got acquainted as soon as we boarded and even before.... I hope we can get that going again for next year Laura. It was just the best!...so who is going to get the Cat 2 stateroom for the cocktail party this time around?

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Tracy,

Joanna is doing the Panama. I wish we could, but Keighley's school schedule doesn't allow for two weeks away.

I hope they do it again!

Hello! :wave2:

I booked this cruise for myself and my parents back in April 2008! This will be our third attempt at cruising - our original cruise was set for Jan 2009, but my mother was too sick to travel. We rescheduled for Jan 2010, but she wasn't quite well enough to travel yet. We're looking forward to (hopefully) her last surgery, and getting her back to full health! Third times a charm, right? We hope so!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all over the next 11 months!

:jumping1:

I do hope you are able to make this cruise.

You were booked on the one we took this past January, I remember you!

I was sorry that you had to cancel but hopefully the weather next year will be better than the first couple days out were this year!

Laura

:woohoo: Hey! I just booked tickets for my family and I to go to Disney On Ice this March 13th! Has anyone else been before? I'm really excited :woohoo:

HI! My Husband and I will be on this cruise. This is my 6th dinsey Cruise and his 3rd. None will be as special as the Cruise we sailed on in November of 2008! We got Married on Castaway Cay November 4, 2008! This will be our first 7 night cruise though. Sooo who is up for a fish extender exchange????

Welcome to our so far little group!

Your wedding photos are amazing; what a wonderful idea for a wedding, getting married on CC.

Yes for us to the FE; I did my first on our last cruise this year and it was fun. As I bought a gorgeous FE from a clever and talented seamstress on eBay, I now have to use it again and again.

Would you be interested in coordinating the FE?

Thank you sooo much. It was the best wedding I have ever been to! It was magical and every time I step back onto Castaway Cay I get tingles!

We got our Fish Extender on Ebay as well. LOVE it!

Of course I will coordinate the FE exchange! Just list your Cabin Number, Names, Number of people in your Cabin, Kids, etc. and I will make up a spreadsheet!

Looks like we have FEs from the same talented seamstress! For anyone else looking for a gorgeous FE, here are her eBay details:

http://myworld.ebay.com/gradysmommy/

Should we PM you with our shipboard details or do you want to post your email address here?

She does do a kick "butt" job doesn't she. LOL

My email is goldeelox9 @ yahoo . com or you canPM me or post it here on the tread. I track it down and add it to the list!!

Hello to our little thread...I hope more folks jump on this thread and soon!! I just booked our flight we arrive Jan 1 at 9am or thereabouts. We are also booked on the Panama Canal cruise but it is looking more and more like we will be doing this cruise, which we also have booked.

Looks like our adult son will be joining us and he is single...so if anyone is traveling alone get in touch!

If this is how it works out, it will be wonderful cruising with you again. We'll reserve the hot tub furthest from the railings then.....lol!

This thread IS rather quiet. Maybe we'll have the whole boat to ourselves and all get fabulous upgrades for free.

I suspect we will have some lurkers...when we all met up on the first day last cruise, some lurkers came over and mentioned that. People, don't be afraid to jump aboard and say hello. It's nice to know you in advance! (Otherwise, I feel like you're looking through my windows at me!!!)
