January 31, 2016. SAILING THE SOUTHERN DISNEY WONDER STYLE!!

Hello fellow cruisers:

Ruttie2, thank so much for organizing the FE group. I dont want to complicate things but I wanted to offer up one of my rooms "space" in the FE group #1 for the other family that was interested in joining (cabin 5512 Kurt and Vicki, daughters age 9 and 11). Unless they can get other people in the FE group #2, they can take the space of my parents in room 6112. This will allow them to participate.

What do you think?

On another note, does anyone have any ideas how to make a homemade fish extender? Thanks!

Tura

Actually it would be room 6114 that would be removed and replaced with Kurt and Vicki's room, if they wish. room 6112 is still in the group! :)

I like the idea of having one master list. Either way I will be doing a FE for all lists. This is our second cruise and we did the FE on our first one. One of the best parts of our experience and we want to share that with everyone. Thanks for setting it all up!

Hi we are a family of four. I'm Jeff wife Dawn I have a daughter that's 11 and a son that's eight. We're hoping to find families with kids a similar age so they have somebody to hang out with on the boat. We are looking forward to meeting everybody.
good sailing.

Hi! My daughter is almost nine but definitely mature for her age and would love to meet your kids. Does your daughter have instagram or email? They can talk before! Can't wait for trip!

Tura - thanks so much for volunteering to be one cabin less so someone else can come in. I plan on closing this in the morning. At that time, I was going to make my cabin the "extra" one. Let's see how this all plays out tomorrow.
Getting excited for the cruise :)

Hi Everyone,
We are a family of four and are booked for this cruise. I would love to hear about some of the plans people are making for port excursions (San Juan included). We have never been to any of these stops and feel a little lost about what we would like to do.

We are also family of four. two kids did 11 and ds eight we've done a few of these cruises before. San Juan is probably best just walking around the downtown area and enjoying the culture. the water is very wavy in the hotels are average. Most of the other islands is best to use the ship excursions unless you have some for Milyer to you of the island. You should start looking at excursions now because they do fill up quickly especially the good ones. We thought tubing on the first Island would be fun. Snorkeling trips are always good. We came here to see water that's what we like to do. The driving trips can be long and bumpy but you can see a lot of the islands. St. Kitts we are familiar with where just going to take a cab to one of the hotels by the ocean.

Hi Everyone,

With this being our 4th time to San Juan, we always go in a day early to either enjoy Old San Juan, which I highly recommend, especially at night. There is plenty to see and do in Old San Juan, if you have time and are able to do alot of walking. If you have time the rain forest is also a great experience. Sadly, Disney isn't offering any excursions in San Juan, so we booked a half day rainforst private excursion the day before the ship leaves. Again for the other islands, if its your first time crusing or new to a specific island, generally its better to book an excursion through the ship, unless there is a specific place you want to go that the ship doesn't offer or is already sold out. Since this is our first time to Martinque, we booked through the ship, also I was not able to find any private excursions available for that island. I'm sure there will be the normal tourist traps/folks asking you to go on one of their own private excursions at each of the ports, so that is always an option as well.

Any interest in Candy Exchange?

We enjoyed visiting the rainforest in SJ, and on a longer stay, the phosphorescent bay was excellent!

Since we had another request to join FE I will keep the second list. If anyone from the first list wants to include the people from second list, please let me know and I will add your cabin to the second list also. In other words - your cabin will be listed on group 1 and group 2.
