Well- Disneycatz turns 54:wizard: next saturday. Good News: we have been blessed to be able to go to Disney for many years on my birthday

Bad news: due to my DH's medical reasons, I did not book a trip thinking he was too weary to travel.

Surprising news: My DH & DD has now let me know they wish to go as usual next Friday & Saturday. There are now not only no Annual passholder rooms available and no florida resident discounted rooms available- there are barely any rooms at all! It was always such a slow & lovely time to come to Disney.

last word: we cannot find a room on Disney property;but I have a loving family!

I made reservations for January 25-28 yesterday - not an easy task but I finally did find a room at AK Lodge. I played around on the website and tried various lengths of stay checking in and out on various days. (As early as this morning there were still some rooms - I really wanted WL so I keep checking) Don't give up - just be creative - you can always make the reservations and the "give-up" the days you don't need if you have to "adjust" your length of stay.:wizard:

Did you check Sports???

I cancelled an annual passholder reservation for 1/25-2/2..

I had already rebooked a week ago for Pop and was able to get in for 1/29-2/2 as we had to change our dates and decided to go with POP

Not sure what resort you were hoping to book but I just tried Disney's site (at 5am cst) and found Yacth Club Water View available.

Did you try the Swan and Dolphin? What about the Downtown Disney Hotels? Also try expedia and travelocity!

Good Luck and glad to hear your hubby is doing better

Found Carribean Beach Last Night for 7 days, it had been booked solid for a month. My ressie was for Jan 29th for 7 night but keep trying, this has been booked. Also found on Travelocity a Dolphin.

Happy Birthday Disneycatz!!! My Mom turns 80 on the same day!! We're coming down with her 2/1-5.

Keep trying, I know you'll get something!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Try looking at booking through the AAA site...I looked a day or two ago for friend for the same weekend & they still had blocks of rooms left at multiple Moderates...I know the resorts are busy w/a number of conventions/conferences going on, b/c I 'll be there for one of them...

That is a great idea...thank you! If it does not work out this time, we will be smarter next time! Have a FABULOUS trip:wizard:

Stiil trying...Disneycatz:goodvibes

:wizard: Oh my! A very merry birthday for your mother. I wish for her a very happy trip. My mother is 92 and has never been to Disney. My husband grew up in Marshfield,MA by the way!

Well- Disneycatz is going to keep trying and maybe try the downtown disney hotels like the Doubletree suites or Regal Sun. Has anyone ever stayed there?

Good times to all....back to calling Disney now:surfweb:

My neighbor leaves on Wednesday for a Gymnastics competition at Disney and they are staying at CBR.

On Saturday they are switching resorts to a relatives DVC.

FWIW, I just checked & AAA still has rooms available @ CSR/CBR from $119.20/night, OKW from $228/night; BC/YC/BW from $325; Dolphin @ $429/night, but most of the others appear sold out...

My niece has stayed at the Grovesner (spelling?) and loved it!

Happy bday!
