The docs are here!! Almost there:)))

So since this is our first cruise I don't really know how this works. Yesterday we received a little spiral notebook addressed to my son. Does everyone get one??? I'm confused help lol.

yep.that is your doc's ( if it has luggage tags etc) one per family.

Make sure you bring it to the port plus passports and signed forms ..

Thank heavens I saw that people were receiving their documents. I usually send DD out to the mailbox and this cruise is a surprise to be revealed on Christmas morning :)

Anyone VGT or IGT (or any of those)? Do you have your room assignment yet? I'm hoping for pixey dust but now that we are under the 1 month mark I've got to believe I should find out soon!

DH booked Remy as my Christmas present! Excited, although now I certainly have to change initial packing plans!

What is everyone doing in Nassau? I kind of want to get to Atlantis but thinking of going on my own rather than through the ship excursion. That way I can hurry back adn play on the ship!

Nasasau - staying on the ship and riding the AquaDuck..:thumbsup2
last time we were there we did the Junkaroo and forts tour thru DCL..the Junkeroo was the best!

We have OGT and don't have our room yet. I read it is usually 11 to 18 days before cruise you would find out, however on another post I saw someone on our cruise got their VGT room assignment already. I am having a hard time deciding what to do in Nassau because the the weather could be such a deciding factor.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

We have a VGT and my crystal ball is predicting that we will hear no later than January 13th  Seriously, 11 to 18 days seems to be the trend for GT assignments.

We are planning on staying onboard in Nassau too ;)

Hi everyone! I'm Lisa, and this is my first DCL cruise. It will be me and my Mom. I told DH that I'm doing research so that we can take DS on a 7-day Eastern in 2014. :rotfl2:

Can't wait to meet other DISers. :goodvibes

Hey guys!

I (finally) updated the FE spreadsheet.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiN7aPuZkDVodHdKbEVKTUdkdGZESHZsVmRfYnlPb3c

We don't have all the room #s yet so let me know when those are assigned. It looks like we have 11 rooms participating. Let me know if I missed you, or if something is incorrect :)

Thanks again for taking the time to put this all together. My kids are so excited and we are starting to work on our FE gifts!! 25 days until we are FL bound;-).

Awesome - a very manageable amount of people, can't wait. Now, what to get??? I saw on another post somewhere else that someone said that they found out what movies were playing on board before they went on their cruise. Anyone know how to find that out?

Hi all,

Our little family will be joining you! I am Melissa (29), my DH Cesar (who will be turning 32 the week before, and our 1 1/2 yr old, Keilan. We will be arriving for 4 nights at POR right before and this will be our second Disney Cruise, first one with a child. Our first one was on the Magic in 2009.

We were first going to do a week cruise or a week stay at Disney for DH's birthday but then these rates came up and we decided to do the best of both! I'm very excited to see the dream!

Has anyone rented a car after cruise where they picked you up from the terminal? Can you recommend a rental company? I am getting some good rates, but not sure how to handle picking it up. Just the 4 of us, so we don't have other family members to help out this time...

Last time, I booked with Hertz. They were fabulous. They may cost a little more sometimes, but here is the thing - paying that little extra means that you get on the first shuttle outta dodge when you leave. Less people are booking it. It was worth it to us 'cause at the time, we spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon before flying out in the evening.

Myself Mia, my DH Todd and my DS Ashton age 12. Will not find out my room number for awhile since we booked OGT. Thanks for taking this on.:thumbsup2

Has anyone got their assignments yet? We booked IGT. I checked the Disney site last week and it seems like all the verandahs are booked. There are some Oceanview rooms left and a few Inside ones... I'm guessing that they're trying to sell as many of the Oceanview ones before they assign the 'leftovers'.

What freaked me out a little from our last cruise - they took pictures of my kids at Castaway Cay, never asked their name, cabin number or any other ID, and their pictures made it to our picture folder. They obviously have a facial recognition system, they do take your picture before you board, still wild though!

Disney works in mysterious and magical ways!!! :rotfl:

The last time we cruised my boys were 8 and 5 and we did not have them "dress". They wore polo shirts and khakis. I was concerned about this as well and, yes, some people really dress for this night. We are not a "dressy" family, and the aggravation of getting my boys to wear coats or ties was not worth it to me. There were people dressed all kinds of ways and probably less really dressed up than you would see on another cruise line. Our travel agent who obviously travels quite a bit had gotten pirate themed ties for her boys for a sailing, which is cute and may be more fun for them to wear...

When we traveled just as 'empty nesters' ;) we dressed up for the pirate nite and the formal nights. Pirate night included just hats that I had packed and an eye patch for DH, this time, we're packing some pirate pajamas for my little guy who will be staying up way past his bedtime for the party - if he makes it.

Not sure if we will dress up, it is possible. The family photos are fantastic. But, you CAN definitely escape with just doing 'business casual' or whatever - you will see people in all ranges... tuxedo to khakis.

Picturing my toddler in a suit has me considering it...

A lot of people stay on board but I love Nassau! In the horrible event that the boat can't dock at CC, I don't want to have not had a chance to leave the ship. I have a few suggestions for that port if you need it! We stayed at Atlantis around this time last year!

So nice to see you all on here! :cool1: The trip is fast approaching!
