January 2016-how do you book resort rooms?

i need to book a large suite at Disneyland for our family group injanuary 2016. The travel agents keep telling me to check back about July. Do I have to wait that long? I'm concerned about not being able to get a 3 bdrm if I wait too long. Anyone know a way around this?

Unfortunately, you do have to wait until then. They do not release any of their following year pricing until the end of July. I had to wait to book our October 2015 trip until the end of July last year. I wouldn't be worried you wouldn't get one because of having to wait- no one is able to book until then. Good luck!

darph, have tried the hotel directly, the online booking, disney travel, and emailing a vacation planner recommended by disboards, and AAA.
Nightmare, thankyou,wasn't the answer I wanted to hear but what I expected.
