So this is bizarre, but with alamo if I pick my car up at MCO and drop it off at the WDW car care center my rate is $100 less than if I drop it off at MCO.

Sometimes they do that to redistribute vehicles. If a lot of people are doing one-way rentals from WDW, then they may give you a deal to increase inventory there.

Total? That bizarre as their taxes/fees on their rentals are usually $100-$140 on top of a $150 base rate rental.
That price is a steal for a week.
I'd double check your reservation.
That sounds too good to be true.

If that's the price they quoted make sure to print and save all your emails.

I thought I would post this as it has been the best deal I have found so far:

We're picking up our car from MCO on January 4th and dropping it off at the car care center on the 11th. Our rental including fees was $202.29 for a midsize rental. This was booked through the alamo site with no discount code.

Sorry i didn't post my dates. 1/18-/22. Not the whole week ;(. Price was the same for Dollar and Thrifty. Booked 3 of them for our group of 17 and printed out my emails just in case. Rate was good through the end of January.

Signed up for a KLM Membership and used the 8572130 corp id and used coupon code NDA2354BU for $30 off at National Car Rental.

Gives me a rate of $574.23 for Jan 13-27 for a mini van. Is that a decent deal?

So Psyched! I was watching this thread in hopes of finding a deal on a car for our trip to DLR in January. Today I got a car through a site I have access to from work (ticketsatwork.com) for $94 + taxes & Fees, which brought the total price to $126 for 5+ days. I was going to spend $100 for a shuttle from LAX to DLR and a one way rental back to LAX. Now I'll have a car for the whole trip and not have to deal with the shuttle. Well worth an extra $26 for that convenience.

So far the cheapest I've been able to find through for our dates (January 8-18) is through Costco's travel website. $330 (including tax) for a full-size. Not a great deal, so I'm still looking.

Our full sized (Jan 11-18) through Thrifty with AAA is $243. It will KILL me to pay that much so I am searching almost daily for a better price, LOL

So far my best deal on a full size is $321.... For Jan 11-20... Essentially a 10 day rental.... It's through Alamo with insiders discount and free upgrade (from mid size, assuming that they don't add a standard aisle before our trip!)

Looking forward to our 1st cruise in January. We are renting a van for just 2 days and the best price we have found is 113.00 from MCO to TPA (We sail out of The Port of Tampa.) Jan 3-5 noonish to noonish

I would love to find this rate or better to a more local to port rental place. (Westin with Alamo or National or a near port Hotel with rental car options) Port of Tampa does not seem to have any rental cars options.

Anyone have suggestions? Thanks for any suggestions!

Using Alamo/Visa discount code AD7394SDJ and also being in insider, I just booked my standard (which is also full size at MCO) for $232, which is already $10 cheaper than I found with Thrifty using my AAA discount. Prices are finally starting to fall!
