Hi everyone, I'm new here but thought this thread could be helpful to anyone who is traveling to Disney World in January 2012. We booked our trip about 2 weeks ago for January 19th - January 29th (yay for 10 days in the best place on Earth!), but being only 4 months out, we found that BCV was going to be available all but 2 days, but the 2 days fell smack dab in the middle of our trip. Not worth it in our minds, we booked a studio at BWV and asked to be wait listed for BCV in case all 10 days became available.

Just found out that we are officially staying at BCV! We heard back literally within a week that we got in. Just thought I'd let people know how quickly we got off the wait list and into the resort of our choice.

That being said, I'm sooooon excited. I've never stayed at BCV, and I would've been happy at BWV, but I really wanted to stay at BCV so I could check out Stormalong Bay! We loved OKW on our honeymoon this past January, but my husband remembered liking BCV from growing up, so here we are!

Second part of my post... Now that we have the reservation, does anyone recommend that we call MS and make a request? I know BCV is not known for it's views, and I don't mind since we don't spend a TON of time in our room, but I would like to avoid a first floor room as I feel like it'll be loud and not as private. Since our reservation was made via automatically off the wait list, can we still put in requests?

Also, does anyone have suggestions on what we should ask for? Wondering if we should ask to face Epcot and have a higher floor in hopes that we can have a little view of IllumiNations. :)

Thanks for any advice, and please feel free to post in this thread about your January 2012 wait lists!

Congratulations on your wait list coming through! :thumbsup2

You need to call MS and add your request to the reservation. There are only two views that I would want and Epcot, which isn't a designated view, isn't one of them. The quiet pool view isn't bad and the area between the BCV front door and the BC is nice but I don't remember what it is called.

Sounds good! Maybe we'll ask then for a higher floor and pool view, or if anyone else has a suggestion (or knows the best way to phrase your 2nd choice), we'll go for that. :) Thanks a ton! My biggest thing is just not being on the bottom floor.. Then I'll be pretty happy.

Had to call for the Magical Express and my husband mentioned us having a higher floor, so MS (who he said was extra friendly) marked that we requested the highest floor. I actually don't really care which side we face as long as we're on an upper floor. :) So we are all set on our front! Thanks for the advice!
