January 2 at Universal - Need Advice

Doing Anthem of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) and docking at Port Canaveral on Jan. 2. The kids want to do Harry Potter and we are doing both parks. RC is providing transportation to/from and says we have 7 hours at the parks. Looking to purchase 4 adult tickets, park to park. Will I need the Express passes as well? How crowded will it be Jan 2? Any tips are greatly appreciated!!!

(We have done Universal three times before in the summer, stayed at the Hard Rock, last visit was 3 years ago).

It is always really crowded in early January. However, you can always wait to purchase the EP until you get there and judge for yourselves.

Damo, quick question- they can sell out of EPs can’t they? For a high crowd day and the logistics of coming in for a cruise excursion with a short window could they find EPs no loner available if they don’t buy ahead?

I’d normally say wait and see but thought that might not work in this case (however I defer to you as the Master of All Things Universal)

I don't think anyone has ever reported here about express pass being sold out. What Universal seems to do is just keep raising prices instead.
