if you could please contact me with your names, kids ages, fav character and cabin (when you have that)

My DH and I are booked on this cruise, with our 2 DDs - 6 & 3 (almost 4). The girls have sacrificed their birthday parties this year in favour of a week cruise (where we will celebrate oldest DD's birthday, which is just a few weeks earlier), and a week at Disney World (where we will celebrate the youngest DD's actual birthday!). I think I am more excited than they are!!

Not our first time cruising, but our first time on Disney, and we managed to scrape together the money for concierge, so we're really looking forward to it.

Concierge is great. We are also concierge rm #12000 a suite at the front of the ship. Make sure you take advantage of their services. I swear I am getting to know the team pretty well this week with booking excursions, palo and remy! :)

Just checking you do have the right names for us. It looks like a typo, not a wrong name, but our screen name is PegIra. My husband and I are retired and will be leaving home around Dec 27th, but I will have my laptop with us, to keep up to date. Am I correct that we put something in each FE on the list each day of the cruise? I am trying to think of good ideas to do this.

Thanks again,

Peg

One gift per person or stateroom is all. Some people go crazy (in a good way) and do daily gifts. We do one gift per room and something special for the kids.

My family will be on this cruise and just learned about the FE stuff. Still reading everyone's posts about how it all works. Sounds like fun! Now to make some sort of fish extender and get on the list (and shop for fun surprises of course!)

Hi! :wave2: My family - dh, ds (13), ds (9) and dd (3) and grandparents will be on this cruise! We've been on other cruises but this is our first Disney :) We have been going to Disney World annually for the last 10 years so have that trip down to a science - now being a first timer with a Disney Cruise makes me feel sooo inexperienced! My oldest has autism (pretty high functioning) and LOVES to be on you tube - so a bit nervous how he will do without the access to the internet that he is used to.:scratchin But looking forward to the trip!!

:wave2:Hi there!! Your family sounds a lot like mine! We also have a ds (13) ds (9). Just our dd is a little older, will turn 6 just before cruise. Also cruising with grandparents, along with my sister & her fam.

We are kinda new to DCL too. We go to WDW every year, but our only cruise on DCL was 9 years ago. So I'm sure the kids ages, plus 1 more than last time, will make it a much different experience. Excited for it all! I'm interested to see how my DS (13) will spend his time. He's more of a homebody. Likes to be around others, but just isn't a "jump into a large group, run around with all of the kids" type. I hope he gives the Edge a try, but it'll be interesting to see how much he hangs out with us, versus going to the teen activities. I have a strong feeling he'll be hanging out alot with us, which is fine by me :)

I figure my ds (9) and dd (6) will be more excited to visit the kids clubs since they will have cousins the same age to hang out with them.

Can't wait for the cruise!!

On our last cruise (4 yrs ago RCL) my then 5 year old loved the kids clubs. But he had a cousin with him. This time not sure any of them will want to go alone. I'm fine with whatever they choose. Will probably go with them during open houses at least.

Still trying to work out our hotel for the night before. We are currently booked at the port, but may choose a disney resort instead. How about you?

Cannot believe it will be here before we know it!

Hi! We just bought our plane tickets, so I guess we are really going! It will be myself, DH, and our son (16 mos. at cruise time). Can't wait! Our first cruise was on the Dream in April and we did an OBB for the Med next year. We just switched it because I wanted to cruise sooner and we got cold feet about taking a one year old on an overseas flight! :). I'm not sure if we will participate in the FE since our little guy can't really appreciate it, but I just wanted to say hi to a group I know is sharing my excitement!

Hi Jeisur (can't PM yet...not enough posts!),

Wow, I haven't been on in a while and it seems to have grown like crazy...I need to find out everyone's favorite character. My kids change their minds quite often!

Our info - Rm 6514
Sharon (Mom) - Tinkerbell
Zane (Dad) -
Landon (DS - 8 on 1/31/13) -
Meghan (DD - 10) -

Thank you for putting this list together. I know the cut off is Jan 1st, but can you please post the most updated list w/ all this info around Dec 1 for those of us who freak out around the holidays? Thanks!!!

Right now our plan is to drive. So we will probably stay about an hour out and drive to port canaveral sat morning. we usually fly, but trying to save a little. But since this means taking the kids out of school an extra day for travel if we find a great deal on airfare things could change.

Our oldest was only 4 on our first cruise and he didn't go to the kids club at all except for open houses. The only reason I think my younger 2 may go is that they will have each other & cousins to hang with.

What do you guys plan for ports? Do you do excursions? Still trying to decide what ports to do what at. I've been looking at paradise beach for cozumel. Considering staying on ship at Costa maya since port time is shortest.

Successfully booked all of my Palo and Remy brunches & dinners for the days and times I wanted. Any other gold CC members book tonight? I always feel so much more excited when I book these things since it makes the cruise feel that much closer.

I was so excited that we got our Palo brunch that we wanted. We have friends traveling with us,but they are first time Disney Cruisers, so they can't book yet. When their time comes to be eligible to book, can I just add them to our reservation? We have never traveled with friends on Disney before,so I wasn't sure how it worked.

Now that we made this reservation,it seems even closer.

We got our Remy, Palo and excursions booked too. We're finally gold, so it was so much easier that in the past. Can't wait - so excited! :cool1:

we are in concierge so have already booked all of our remy (brunch and dinner), palo (brunch and dinner), spa and excursions. Treating the boys to Bibbity Bobbity for Pirate night. yes, it does make things seem more realistic and close!

Looks like our thread is pretty quiet. Might that mean bookings are slow? I deliberately picked this cruise hoping that the time of year would mean a less than full boat. Not a big fan of very crowded places.

SleepyDeb,

Things are pretty quiet around here, but I think it's just because it's still pretty far away.

We went on the Magic last year same week and I thought the same as you, that it would be less crowded. I was wrong. Every cabin was full, but the ship was surprisingly not overcrowded. Fast forward to August and I made the mistake of going on a Carnival Cruise...WAY overcrowded. I think the architecture of the ship and the friendliness of the staff make Disney cruises feel like everyone has space.

SHHHHHHH! Everyone must be taking a nap and enjoying the fall temperatures, well except for us Floridians who are having summer #3!!! UGH!

I have a lot of people who had expressed interest in the FE but have not contacted me with names and such. Please do soon! :)
