This will be our second cruise, did the magic last January. We have 2 girls who will be 6 and 7 at sailing time. I am starting to get excited! Do y'all do the fish extenders? Or just a meet and greet? I'm interested in doing the fish extender swaps if anyone is interested. My kids loved going back to the room and finding treats!

Our family of 5 plus my Mom is looking forward to our first Disney cruise and the 3 kids' first cruise ever! My DD will just have turned 6 the week before the cruise and my oldest DS is 8, my younger DS will be 7. Yep, 6,7,8! Needless to say we are all very excited about it. I've just read up on Fish Extenders (since I had absolutely no idea what this was!) and we would definitely like to participate and find out how!
We will graciously accept any recommendations or tips about Disney cruising since this is our first Disney cruise

My husband and two daughters (3 and 1) will be on this cruise. We're traveling with another couple and their two sons (also 3 and 1). This is our second Disney Cruise (and 3rd for our friends). Hi Everyone!!

So happy to find this thread! We will be on this cruise in January, by "we" I mean myself, DH, DS (will be 13 by then), DS (9), DD (will be 6 by then).

We are also travelling with my sister & brother in law, who have a DD (10) and a DS (will be 5 by then) and my mom & dad!!

Glad to see there are lots of people with tweens in the group!! With both of my younger kids having cousins the same age to go to the kids clubs with, my oldest son is excited but also anxious about meeting others at the tween club.

This is only our second cruise ever. Our first cruise was on the Wonder in 2003. So excited to cruise again!!

Can't wait!! Only 189 more days & counting!!

New to disboards and forums and all of this...still trying to figure it all out.

We will be cruising on the Fantasy on 1/19/13! It will be my husband and I and our daughter -10 and son -7.

We cruised the Magic in Jan 2012 and had an AMAZING trip!

VERY interested in fish extenders! How do we get that going on here? I noticed some of the other sailings have a thread just for the extenders.

Welcome to disboards!! To help answer your FE question...Kuiska2009 has started a list of those interested in doing them. I'm sure when she sees your post she will add you to her list! Although I have very limited experience with this, it looks like most trips have a separate FE thread and probably as we get closer to our sailing date & more people are added a separate thread will be started.

I will be one of the travelers admiring all of your beautiful FE's while I walk the hallways. Making some magnets for my door is going to stretch my creative talent as far as I can handle

Can't wait for January!!

I will indeed update the list From what I've heard FE groups tend to pick up more after the final pmt deadline so I think when we get to that point we can set up a separate thread and go from there.

Of course, if anyone thinks we should do one sooner, that's cool too. I'm a DCL newbie so I'm figuring this out as I go along.

Which port of call are you all most excited for?
For me, it's Costa Maya, simply because we haven't been there before. I absolutely love Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but we've been to both ports twice already!

I am most looking forward to Grand Cayman since I've always wanted to go there. Costa Maya I am also excited to check out their brand new pier with restaurants and swim up bars.

Regarding the fish extender, I've participated in them 4 times, and I've never had them be on a separate thread. In my experience someone from the main cruise meet thread volunteers to keep a running list, and then distributes it at the end after a deadline is agreed upon by the group to close new signups. I've actually been the organizer on a couple of my FE's and I always just kept a spreadsheet on Google Docs, then posted the link on the thread for anyone to go and view. This is just my experience, it always seemed easy to keep track of that way, rather than going to another thread to keep up on, but maybe others do it differently.
