We always hate getting off the ship. So sad, and so much work when we get home. We did rebook on board. They really needed a second person for rebookings because that line was always around the corner. It was crazy. I don't think the lady got a break at all yesterday. I even saw her working this morning.

Back at home after a wonderful time! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful FE gifts. I love them all and used so many of them while on the ship. LOVE the blue Mickey head earrings - put them on as soon as I got them and received so many complements! I had forgotten lipstick, so the Princess lip gloss was a godsend - even though it was intended for the girls I commandeered it immediately. The headphones were so handy as mine had broken. I enjoyed the Cracker Jacks and Gummie bears at the movie theater. We used our martini shaker right away. I wore my Disney pins and went to pin trading. The FE goodies are too numerous to give proper thanks here, but just know that each and every items was really loved and appreciated (extra points for the Jim Beam!)...
THANK YOU Disboarders :-)

We also had a fantastic first cruise! We wanted to look into booking another while on board, but we too waited until last minute and the line was crazy long.

Thanks so much for all the wonderful gifts. The girls absolutely loved finding goodies whenever we returned to the room. Such fun!

When we arrived at our car, we found a flat tire. Not a great way to end the trip, but we didn't let it ruin our vacation (okay ... maybe it did put a damper on it, but once we were patched up and headed home, we could think of happy thoughts again. :-) )

Well, back to reality today! :( Always hate that part. Thanks everyone for all the FE gifts! I must say it was much easier delivering FE gifts on the classic ship vs the newer ones-couldn't believe we got done delivering so fast.
Had a great time. It was a whirlwind trip-way too short!

We also had an great time on the Magic. Those 3 days went by way too quick though. Thank you to all that participated in the FE exchange. We appreciate all our gifts.

Yes, three days did seen too short. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts. My son started checking every 10 minutes to see if something was delivered. It was so cute. I think he stole the headphones because I didn't see them lol.

We also had a MAGICal time and agree - 3 nights is way too short but we still really appreciated the time we had on her. :cool1:

Did any of your kids ride the Aquadunk? My DS (10) did and ended up with a huge knot (and some blood) on the back of his head. He followed the instructions and we had watched youtube videos earlier and although he kept his head back, he said it jolted him and banged it up. I felt bad for him because he then had a hard time sleeping but luckily I brought some children's ibuprofen with me. He's much better today but after that he said, um no thanks! LOL

What table numbers and dining rotations did you guys have? We had LAC and table #67 and Noel and Ivelina.

We look forward to sailing the Magic one day again.

That's scary! Both my girls, 14 and 7, rode it with no issues (other than wedgies.)

We had main CLA, table 73 with Pairoj and Arik(?). I was not a fan of the new Carioca's menu, glad we had Palo's that night.

Thanks everyone for all of the great FE gifts! A shout out for the Alabama bag tag, the Jim Beam, and my DD loved the gumball machine!

We had main dining and a large party for my wife's 40th, so we took up 54 & 56. Mirka was absolutely the best server we've had, hands down. Wayan was an excellent assistant as well. I thought Cariocas was good (had the spicy chicken soup and the Lobster, Shrimp, and Mahi skewers).

We haven't done Palo since our first DCL cruise in 2008. Had a bad experience and don't feel that it is worth the extra $$ over the MDR. Maybe it's time to give it another try...

Ha! Glad you liked the U of Alabama bag tag! That was specially for you, being "tidefan". I went through all my FE goodies again when I unpacked, and there were so many cute things which I will use and enjoy.

We had ACL late dining and had Anita and Arya as servers - both very competent. But the dining rooms are so LOUD. Wish they could do something about that. This is one big reason to go to Palo. :cloud9:

Oh - forgot to mention that 2 of the 4 of us (not me!) went on AquaDunk and were petrified! Way too intense for either. No injuries, but huge anxiety just before, during and after. DH had to sit in the hot tub for an hour to unwind! I have done the AquaDuck on the Dream several times and it sounds like it is a "lazy river" compared to the AquaDunk. :scared1:

We had a MAGICal time along with everyone else. Definitely hooked on DCL now. We will be doing DCL again.

DD road the dunk 4 times and I did twice, DW had no interest. It was the best waterslide we have ever been on (and we have been on a lot of them)!

Our dining was early LAC table 32, servers Ricky and Kat were AWESOME. There service was second to none! Will be looking for them again on our next cruise.

Had Palo brunch, loved it! Our server there, Alenjandro, (I know I spelled that wrong) was also excellent. He thought we were being too skimpy on the desserts only trying a couple so he made us an entire plate full of his favorites!

While we were at Palo our 13 yr old DD went to Cabanas and ran into our server Kat who upon seeing her alone made sure she was taken care of there, bless her heart for that!

Castaway Cay was absolute PARADISE. DD and I snorkeled which was OK (not a lot to see but still entertaining in a Disney way). Aside from that it was very relaxing on the beach.

Only down side of the entire trip was going home, and not just because we were going home. About midnight on the last night an intestinal virus hit me. Lost a lot of fluids thru the night (and sleep) and had to get an IV in the ships infirmary to regain enough energy to disembark and survive the trip back to Ohio (once again we were taken care of very well by Disney). It was an interesting bus ride and flight but we made it.

Seems like the "dunk" is a love or hate thing! I've not read one single post about any else getting hurt on it and I couldn't believe the knot my DS had and whether he did it "right" or "wrong", just felt like geesh - there are a lot of little kids on that thing! He won't be returning on it anytime soon! :rotfl2:

YIKES! So very sorry to hear you were sick, especially the last night and that's like my biggest fear, seriously. It's bad enough to get sick, but on the very last night when you KNOW you have to travel home. I surely hope you are better now :)

Glad you loved DCL but sorry to hear about that bad virus! :faint: Hope you recovered quickly ::yes::

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I missed an extra day of work after we got home and was back to near 100% on Wednesday. Didn't sour the trip too much (hey, I got an extra day off work, always look for the positive)!

Looking forward to our next DCL vacation!
