We'll try to keep you up, if you promise NOT to reciprocate by waking us up in the morning!!! :rotfl:

Not a problem! DSis meditates in the morning, and I'm happy to sleep in. DCuz enjoys alone time, so we've got a deal!

How long did you have to wait before you got your information from DCL? I booked a week ago Sunday, and am waiting to get something so that it really feels official!

I booked at least a month ago, and still no documents! It's just seems MORE official when you get that fat envelope in the mail! :rotfl:

If you've cruised DCL before you can check under your Castaway number.
Info should be there (but I know-we booked first day and no hard docs)

The only thing we have received so far is the standard reservation letter from DVC, that outlines the reservation and the point spend. I can see the reservation on the DCL Castaway Club site though so I know we are good to go. Interesting that prices have not moved one cent up or down on the cat 6A that we are booked in.

Thank you for the information about seeing the reservation on the CC site! We are in the back of the ship 6690. I checked out a stateroom report and it wasn't bed, apparently you can hear noise from a lounge that is 2 decks down. I'm glad we got onboard, and I think we'll be just fine!:goodvibes

I'm glad to see that it's in the norm! I thought our documents came a lot quicker last time, but maybe we just booked our cruise closer to the launch date.

DCL usually sends doc about 45 days prior. Maybe for the DVC sailings it is different, but for standard sailings, 45 days or fewer.

Sent you an email. Originally this was to be a girl's cruise only for me and my two adult daughters and their little ones...then their husbands began to boo hoo, so I added them. DH isn't cruising, he doesn't like to cruise, so he can stay home and dog sit.

We were on the 2009 member cruise. We have been on 5 Disney cruises, our last one in Dec on the Dream. We took two of our grands and they have done nothing but talk about the kids' club and how much they love it. They are old disney veterans at ages of 4 and 7, but now their favorite is the cruise. So, it will be two adjoining rooms for us, with 5 adults and 4 kids. The adults have never cruised. so they are very excited! I will get some photos out also.

Nice to be part of the group!
Susan

I think I understood what I did wrong before. If the 2013 MC logo is here, I was successful!

Looking forward to reading more here!

In another thread in room gifts were talked about. We were on the 2005 MC and DH and I each got the DVC special gifts, pins, prints, etc. For this cruise, it will be me, DSis and DCuz, and I'm assuming that there will be 3 of each gift. Is that the case? Has anyone sailed on a MC with Friends, not immediate family?

Also, it has been mentioned that CC gifts are one per cabin. So, only 1 of the new backpacks, even though DSis and I are CC members? It will be OK for me, because I will have one from this August's cruise, but if we get 2, I could give one to my DCuz.

one cc gift per cabin, at the highest level. it has been that way for a few years now.

What kinds of DVC member gifts did you receive?

I can only tell about the 3 night MC in 2005, and I don't remember everything, but we each got pins each night, a pirate chest bank, a sketch book, a wind up Mickey alarm clock, and other little things. Oh, yes, there were very very nice Members are Magical Beach Towels! The best gift in my opinion was a Don Williams Print of Mickey and Minnie on CC with the ship in the background and the mat that says Memberships are Magical!

I don't keep lots of things, but we've framed both prints, and one is here in Ohio and the other is in our Cape May NJ home!

Very nice! One for each person? :goodvibes

Yes,these were per person. I'm telling my cabin mates to come prepared with an extra large tote! I will be driving to/from Florida, so they won't have to worry about bag limitations on their airline if they don't mind waiting a few months until I ghetto NJ,where they both live.

There was 1 other gift that I just remembered. It was a collapsible tray or container of sorts. DSis went wild when she saw it! I hadno idea how I would use it, so I gave ours to her! We compliment each other like that, my DSis and I. DCuz compliments both of us, she loves Disney experiences. In some ways I'm more looking forward to this cruise, than the family cruise in August. Family & friends, different cruises, (I know, DSis & DCuz ARE family!) but there are 2 different focuses!

When we went on our first member cruise in 2008, we weren't expecting all the swag and had to buy a bag on board, fortunately they had a deal for a nice rolling duffle. We received so much stuff, it was almost ridiculous. I am still giving it away, 3 1/2 years later. Pins, CD's, Sorcerer Mickey stuff, Lanyards, Artwork, the group photo from Castaway Cay. Seemed like everytime we came back to our room, there was something new on the bed. Word to the Wise, definitely bring a large spare bag, you will need it to get everything home!

I've looked up and read a lot about FE, and it does seem to be fun, BUT does anyone BUY things to put in, and is there a thread about people who participate but are NOT creative with crafts.
