Jan13-15 blackout dates for MYW package

Anyone know why they have blacked those dates out? I am going in jan15 to the 19th. will i still be able to get the package?

It is the weekend of Martin Luther King Day (which is January 16 in 2006, a national holiday). If your stay starts on the 15th it does not look likely that you would be able to book the package discount.

Disney often blacks out holiday weekends when it offers discounts.

Just an FYI, I am going Jan 11 thru 17 and I got the same price as I would if we went the following week, I priced the nest week on the disney website and it came up the same price as what we are paying...........I am not sure if the dates are blocked out or not

So you got the package deal discounts when you checked the same package including the 15th? that is what i was wondering, if it would kick in for the 16th thru the 19th.
i will have to call them to check it out

Usually what they mean is that you cannot book any of your trip with the discount if your checkin date is during the blackout period, but I am really only familiar with room only reservations. you may want to call and check what this means with a package.

I put in the dates Jan 18 thru 24 just to see what the "discount" rate would be, we don't want to change our dates because we need to go over the holiday weekend, and it came up the same price as what we are paying the week before, and we got the ticket upgrades, so I guess we got the discount for the blackout dates.

it all depends on the date you check in... we are checking in the 12th and have no problem getting the lower rate but if we waited a day and checked in on the 13th, we'd be in blackout... but because we check in on the 12th, we're not in the blackout...

if you are checking in on the 15th and blackout ends on the 15th you might want to do room only for that one night and start a second ressie (aka a split reservation) starting when the blackout is lifted on the 16th... it might save you $
