Are those hours normal this time of year? Just wondering if I should go to Universal that day or if Disney might not be crowded and should stay there?

We've been in January and they closed at 8pm. Looks like they are closing early. Is DCA open later?

I'm planning to be there too on the 28th and am disappointed to see the 6pm closure. I was finally able to see the schedule on the disneyland.com site and it still shows as closing at 6p, but also shows Fantasmic at 7:30:confused3

The parks are closing at 6 p.m. on January 28 th for refurbishments, according to a Disney Parks Guest Services Representative.

Yeah, and we know how well informed they can be:smokin:

Actually it's just Disneyland that's closing early, California Adventure is open til 10.

Good to know, thank you.
It had been my understanding that it was for both parks. :faint:
Schedules may change often of course, so it is possible that Disneyland won't close early that day after all. Only time will tell.

I'm guessing it has something to do with this... There's a "Disney's Approach to Quality" training seminar at the Disneyland Hotel that day.

There is a media event regarding the "Diamond Celebration" on the 28th I believe. They will be making announcements regarding the 60th anniversary.

Malcon10t is right. I read on another site that there is a special media event Wednesday night to announce the plans for the 60th anniversary. I believe Tom from our own DISboards will be there! I'll be waiting anxiously to hear what what they announce!!:thumbsup2

My understanding is the "event" is being held at DCA. It's tied to Frozen Fun.
