This was our 4th family trip to the world but it's my first time doing a dining review. I have loved reading all the dining reviews over the past few years and they have helped me so much. Being a vegan and having a vegetarian dd I have enjoyed looking at all the yummy options WDW has to offer us and reading all the great reviews has helped my make some great dining choices over the last few trips. So this trip we left DS17 home alone (he's crazy and said he didn't need to see Disney again:sad2:) with the dog and off we went:

Me, 36 years old and vegan
Dh 41 years old, he'll eat pretty much anything
Dd 14, she is a pretty picky eater, she is the hardest one to please and will gladly go hungry rather eat something she doesn't like, it can get rather frustrating sometimes
Dd 10 she is a vegetarian but did eat shrimp once and fish once in this trip, the last time she had fish was on our may 2015 trip. She is not picky at all and will pretty much eat anything that is not meat and she's always hungry

This is the only pic we got all trip that included all of us:

We stayed at bonnet creek and rented a car. We bought a few small breakfast items and a couple snacks but all the rest of our meals and the majority of our snacking was in WDW.

Day one , January 14th- arrival day featuring Blaze pizza

We had a long travel day and left my aunts house (after travelling 4 hours there the night before) for the airport at about 10:30am. We hadn't eaten anything since breakfast besides the little bag of snacks they serve on the airplane so after finally getting our bags and rental car it was almost 7:00pm by the time we left the airport. We had planned on checking into our hotel and then going to blaze pizza but we were so hungry we decided to eat first. We parked at Disney springs and headed to Blaze pizza. We don't have one at home and had never tried it but after reading about it on the DIS and learning that they have vegan pizza I wanted to try it. Keeping in mind it was Saturday evening at about 7:30 on MLK weekend when we arrived we saw this:

The line was massive and stretched almost all the way back to deluxe burger. We debated leaving but we really wanted to try the pizza and it was busy everywhere so we decided to stick it out since by the time we left and figured out somewhere else to eat we could have been waiting just as long or longer anyway. It was crazy busy in there and the staff pushed you along very quickly but it's understandable that they want to get consumers served as quickly as possible to move the massive line through. The line actually did move faster then I expected an within about 30-40 minutes we had pizza!

This was my pizza, regular crust, classic sauce, (we all got regular crust and classic sauce) vegan cheese, mushrooms, red onion, spinach, tomato, jalapeño and green peppers. You can choose as many toppings as you like for the same set price and we seen some people really loading up on toppings. I ended up eating 4/6 slices and took the other two back to the room and ate it cold as a midnight snack. The pizza had a nice thin crispy crust and was really good.

Dd14 pizza, she had mozzarella, sausage, one meatball chopped up if you can see one slice has pineapple on it. She wanted to try pineapple on pizza but wasn't sure if she'd like it so asked for it just on one small section. She ended up not liking it, surprise surprise!, and ate all the pizza except the piece with pineapple on it.

Dh's pizza, mozzarella, goat cheese, Parmesan, banana peppers, pepperoni, sausage, olives, red onion, basil and mushrooms. He really liked this pizza and ate the whole thing
Dd10's pizza, mozzarella, olives, mushrooms and basil. She liked it but was only able to eat 2 slices, dh ate 1 and we took the other half of the pizza back to the resort. They have really cute takeout boxes that fit exactly half a pizza into them. The other half never did get eaten though as she just never got a chance or we forgot about it. In the picture above you can see the fountain drink. It cost $3 for a fountain drink and you can refill it. They have lots of different choices and we had fun trying out a bunch. The one pictured above was our favourite and is the blood orange lemonade.

We all really enjoyed our meal here and thought it was a great value with lots of options. Even though it was a madhouse there is plenty of seating and we easily found a table outside on the patio.

We literally stood in between D-Luxe burger and Blaze and tried to decide which way to go. We went with D-Luxe, and were happy enough with that choice, but now looking at your pizza we might have gone in the wrong direction!

Looking forward to hear more about your trip. We came home on 1/13, so may have passed you in some airport or other!

Day 2- January 15th- Part 1 featuring 1900 Park Fare

We had a 11:10 breakfast scheduled. We had never done any character meals before so this was a first for us. We usually don't ever eat breakfast out and never do at home. I'm the only morning person in my family. Everyone else prefers to sleep in and it drives me crazy when on vacation. I'm up and ready for hours and trying to drag everyone else out of bed at 11:00am. So we decided to book this breakfast because we were headed to the MK for the day and thought this would make a great start to our first full day. Dd10 still really enjoys meeting characters and no one else likes to stand in line for them so I thought this would be perfect.

So with this late ADR time we treated it as brunch. We were arrived in time and were seated within a couple minutes of check in. We were seated at a large 6 top table near the back of the restaurant. As soon as we got to the table characters started to arrive. So before we got our food we met Pooh, Eeyore and Mary Poppins. I was expecting Tigger but we were happy to meet Eeyore as we haven't met him before but had met Tigger in Epcot on our last trip.

After we went up to the buffet to get food, by this time it was 11:30 but the restaurant was still full and the buffet was well stocked.View attachment 217243
My plate which had fruit, rice, stewed tomatoes, mashed avocado, pico de galla, tater tots, potatoes o'brien and a flour tortilla. I really enjoyed everything on my plate, the only thing I didn't really care to much for was the stewed tomatoes. I cleaned the plate only leaving behind some of the tortilla. I went back up and got a small plate of fruit which I shared with dd10

dd14's plates, the two bowls have the famous strawberry soup and red velvet pancakes with cream cheese frosting. On the plate is mandarin oranges, pineapple, Mickey waffle, yogurt with chocolate chips, gummy beats, cheese cubes, sausages and some cottage cheese with crepe thing. The phone in the hand was a reoccurring theme throughout the trip! She was constantly texting her boyfriend back home. She ate all the fruit and cheese and gummy bears and sausages and very little of everything else. Just a few bites here and there. She said the pancakes felt old and dry and she liked the soup and said the sausages were really good and she went back and got 3 more.

Dd10 plate, more red velvet pancakes in the bowl and the plate had gummy bears, Mickey waffle with whipped cream, scrambled eggs, cheese cubes, yogurt with chocolate chips and a sticky bun. She was so excited that they served gummy bears for breakfast, she couldn't believe it! She ate them all, all the fruit and cheese and just a few bites of everything else, she did share more fruit with me but I think the excitement of the characters and heading to MK after for our first park day distracted her from eating because at the end of the meal her plate was still 80% full.

Dh's plate, Mickey waffle, scrambled eggs with cheese, breakfast pizza, bacon, potatoes o'brien, an eclair, sticky bun and fruit. I think he ate it all or most of it and he did go up for more bacon. It was hard to converse with everyone between everyone going up to the buffet and the characters coming around so I dont know what he thought of each individual item but he did say he liked the food.
During the meal Alice came by

The only one left to meet was the Mad Hatter and he was meeting guests in a separate area in the back of the restaurant near our table. We waited until we were done eating and there was only a couple parties in line to meet him before we went and got in line. It is too bad he didn't come around to the table like the rest of the characters but it did make for a better photo op I guess and he was quite funny!

Overall we really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely return. Our server was awesome about refilling our juice glasses and coffee. The juice tasted kinda peachy and was really yummy. Great start to our trip!
