Jan 09 Codes/Question

We are looking to go in January 2009. I know disney will not let you book anything right now, so my question is: when do you think 2009 rates MIGHT come out?

I did book 2 rooms at the Yacht Club last week for the end of Jan 09. The rates they gave me were this years mid week, peak season rates. I about had a heart attack. We are going in value season. I have been told that since they do not have the '09 rates confirmed this is what they do. I had to book as early as I could so we could get the room catagory we wanted. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I didn't finish my post. This was a "room only" reservation. I will keep an eye out for AAA and AP discounts when they become available.

The 2008 packages came out in early August 2007. Ibelieve you can book a room only reservation a lot earlier than that though.

Book it now and turn it into a package when the 09 packages come out.

Really, I didnt know if you book now for Jan 09 they will book you at a peak rate even though that is value season. Can anyone else confirm this?

I'm far from a Disney expert on these matters, but do have a reservation request for Jan 09 also. I was told that yes,it is too early to book a package, but you can book room only and chage it later (as PP said). I too almost lost it at the rate, but remebered I had read on here lately that someone had had the same experience as I just went through. DrmWvr 1299, I know how you feel. Anyways, the rate was significantly higher ..... but don't know the exact policy on why.

thats just what tehy do since they dont have the real rates yet. when teh real rates come out, they will adjust you down to value season. you dont have to pay for teh trip until 45 days out, jsut a deposit. no heart attacks anyone!

i too am about to book for January 09 and would love a code of some sort. if anyone hears anything...
