This may be a silly question, is this likely to be a full ship? I know you can't really say but is this historically a busy time fir cruising? I'm a bit worried about potentially 3000 people at the pool!! X

Until we get closer, it won't be fully known. I did a cruise the following week 2 years ago on the Fantasy & it really didn't seem that bad. In September, most of the US is back in school so some parents are less likely to pull their children out so early in the school year but homeschoolers, year around school, or some random districts will still allow for the families to come.

Not everyone is going to use the pools. It won't feel like it really has as many people on it as it does. I'll spend most of the 'pool' type time in the Rainforest Room or Satellite Falls not on the main decks.

I agree with Melissa (Dis_Yoda). There are so many things to do we don't even feel there is a time to call "pool time." Some years we don't even get in the pool. Sabrina does, but there are multiple pools/water elements so it's always felt like there was plenty of room.

Our water time is beach time, pools at the hotel on an excursions and pre-cruise "pool time" at DWD property.

Sabrina will miss the first 3 days of 8th grade. One way to look at it is ... it gives the teachers some time to settle in before Sabrina brings her energy to their classes. :teacher: :yay:

I don't use much pool time. The girls pick and chose when to go. I will say at times it will be crowed but there is so much to do other than the pool. Most times it won't matter.

The cruise is getting closer and closer. I'd love you to reconfirm your participation in the FE. We've had a number of folks switch cruises and not say anything. Other have joined and unjoined the FE.

We're still around 25 cabins. I have 3 cabins that may potentially be the start of a new FE. We'll know better what direction to go when the confirmations are in. Thanks in advance for your help :lovestruc

We are still in for being on the FE List... Come on August!!!

Thanks Danielle!

I'm hoping Sabrina and Shayln will connect more on the KIDS ONLY between now and August. It's great when the kids arrive and spot their DISfriends :dance3:

Last cruise Sabrina's DIS BFF and her mom were actually getting out of a taxi the same time we arrived at the port!

Ok another silly question. What is the ship like on port days in terms of crowds? Do most people leave the ship all day or just a few hours? I know I sound really paranoid but I'm not great in crowds. Thank you all

When the boat is in port, the majority of the guests will get off for most of the time in port or at least up until about 2 hours before the boat is due to leave.

I have walked into MK or DHS and turned around and walked right out. :lmao: My kids are used to me flipping out about crowds, so I am completely ok with you asking.

I will not go to the pools. The BEST time to go, if you are up, is first thing in the morning. Other than that, I generally avoid them. However, Dis Yoda explained that CC days almost everyone gets off the ship. Therefore, that sounds like a day when you could get to the pool mid day and not feel as though 100 people are sharing your space.

On a completely different topic, if Disney comes out with Hawaiian cruise is anyone planning on booking? All three of my kids really want to go:goodvibes

Still here and still in the FE! Thanks!

We will be on this cruise... It will be our first cruise/ Disney cruise. We are celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and my sister's 40th birthday. I am wondering how we can get involved. We have our FE made and want to become part of a group to share gifts with. I also love the idea of my daughters having "friends" already when they get on board. Please let me know how we can get involved.

Hi Beth,

Some people need to know the family structure to figure out family or cabin gifts. For example, if someone is making Cruise CDs. It's safe to assume my hubby and I could share a CD. If it was me and my BFF, we'd need 2).

I'm pretty good at word problems and brain teasers. Let me see if I figured out your family tree...

Beth Fournier - you
Todd Fournier - your hubby (birthday boy 50th)
Avery Fournier - your DD12
Tehya Fournier - your DD6
Lily Fournier - your DD2

David Decoteau - your dad
Ginny Decoteau - your mom
Holly ______ - your sister (birthday girl 40th)

Buzz Fournier - Todd's dad
Pattie Fournier - Todd's mom

Chris Kincaid - your sister Teri's hubby
Teri Kincaid - your sister
Caleb Kincaid - Chris & Teri's DS9
Emma Kincaid - Chris & Teri's DD6
Mason Kincaid - Chris & Teri's DS 20mo

So, am I close :confused3

I'm sure our DD13 Sabrina will be excited to meet DD12 Avery on the Kid's Only thread and in The Edge once onboard!

Lise, you are good at puzzles! dde09 Holly Decoteau. The only blank I needed to fill in. We are so excited about this cruise. We booked in March of last year and my girls keep watching the promotional DVD over and over. Sounds like a fun group. I started a Facebook page last night too. It's a private group ... Disney Cruise- Aug. 30- Sept. 6 Western Caribbean if anyone is interested . Thought it would be fun to share pictures, ideas, etc. there too.

There is already a Facebook group, you should ask to join it.

I changed rooms. I read the review for 7064 and it was Maiyoli (I think) and the room was smaller. Normally I wouldn't care, but I was able to move for less that $200 to a 4C. So, I am in 7100. My kids like deck 7 or 6 because I prefer not to use the elevators. So it is the same distance if we go up or down;) And I requested the third rotation for dining. :)

Edited to add: I got cut off before I could confirm the dining. But the room is confirmed

Hi I forgot i did a review how funny LOL :rotfl:
