The Plan
Head towards Universal and have breakfast somewhere on I drive, spend the day in Universal and finish with the movie and meal deal in Citywalk.
The Reality
We stopped eating breakfast early on in the holiday so went straight to Universal. We thought we would beat the crowds by turning right and going counter clockwise. Terminator wasn't open yet so we went straight to ET. ET is a good ride but not worth standing in a long line for. We couldnt understand why you had to give them your name the last time we rode it but now we know.
We walked onto Back to the Future but I always seem to get the seat with the least head room so left with a bit of a headache. We rode MIB four or five times even though it was quiet they still fully loaded all the vehicles. This would be fine if you got to ride with someone who could aim all our passengers did was bring the average score down. We managed to catch The Blues Brothers and the Break Dancing guys. We rode the Mummy a couple more times and noticed that the front row was roped off. The ride tends to become a little boring if you do it too many times as you know what is about to happen. We headed across to Terminator and it wasnt long before the show so we got a drink and had a look in the hat shop. We went into the pre show area and Universal really cram people in dont they not as bad as Shrek 4D but it was getting pretty tight.
It had been a long two weeks and I think we were getting bored of theme parks and left about 4 oclock. We spent a bit of time looking in the shops around citywalk and checked out the films ready to book the movie deal. It must have been a bad time of year for films as there was nothing worth seeing. Because we hadnt had an evening meal in a ponderosa yet we decided to treat ourselves for our last night.
The Ponderosa we picked had parking out the back. The car park was very dark and we felt a bit vulnerable picking our way past the bins and stuff trying to keep in the lit areas. We learnt from our last holiday that it is best to go for the cheapest entrée and fill up from the buffet. We also went for soft drinks for the free refills. We were seated near some other English people and felt very embarrassed by their actions. There were four of them and they wanted to split two meals between them with two people having the entrees and two having the buffet. I know most people are on a budget on holiday but that was ridiculous. Our waiter kept asking people if they were ready for the hurricane we didnt pay much attention as it was our last day. We went back to the room and started packing ready for an early start in the morning.
