Hi everyone!

Thanks for all the great pictures. I am counting down the days, well months, until our August trip. I promise to take lots and lots of pics for you all to share the magic just like all of you posters are.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could help me out here and explain the abbreviations of IMO and IMHO or something like that? I've been reading the boards here for a few months and am still clueless. :confused3

Thanks!
Raina

IMO means In my opinion, and IMHO means In my humble opinion. :3dglasses

My sister and I are staying concierge 11/9 - 12 so we can do the safaris. We are also thinking about doing the segway tour. When should we contact the concierge staff to book these tours? Or do they contact us?..

...I would get in touch with concierge DIRECTLY, to let them know that you are interested in the segway tour (which, BTW, I heard, is REALLY cool! :thumbsup2 ).....

:wave2: I am the one who needs the bunk beds for our family of 4.
Does anyone know the breakdown of how many bunk bed rooms there are and where they are? If I book pool view, (standard room is not available) are there a lot of bunk bed rooms? What about if I upgrade to a different view? (other than paying more for deluxe bunk bed rooms or suites) I'm trying to figure out my chances of getting the bunk beds. DH is not impressed with disney that they can't guarantee that we will get the bunks. Can you help me?
Should I book through a TA? Should I call Disney or book online?
All I want is Non Smoking and Bunks, and I'm really not picky about anything else. :bitelip: :listen:
Thanks!

....when in doubt, go straight to the 'horse's mouth'....get in touch DIRECTLY with AKL and put in a request for just that: 'Pool view, non-Smoking and bunks/queen' room. I would think that you chances are fairly good for getting your request, especially if you explain to AKL that you have 2 children of different sexes.....

Yeah that was it ;) Actually hubby's not a dessert person *sigh* all he likes is ice cream LOL! BORING old Breyers Vanilla for him. I can't wait! 8 months UGH! This is our childrens first vivist to the world and I want it to be AMAZING! I am just hoping we can SLOW it down enough to enjoy the resort! I am thinking we may have a resort day and go to the MVMCP that night. I hate to give up park time but I know I will want to soak in the hot tubs and relax. Hubby and I went comando style in '02 and it was nuts!

Hello everyone!
Thanks for make my desicion easier :thumbsup2 ...I was budgeting my next trip and had AKL as one of my options but wasn't sure.....until I finished (after a long but funny week) reading the thread :goodvibes .

:rotfl: AKL is the winner....!!!!! :rotfl:

PS. Loved all the photos!...especially the :p desert!!

hi everyone  ,
I too found this *AWESOME* :thumbsup2 thread on Monday and have just finished reading all of it. :cheer2: My family of 5 will be staying at AKL for the first time in August. I was hoping that I had made a good choice when I booked back in December and now, after reading all your posts, I am POSITIVE that I made an EXCELLENT choice! :yay:

I have a question for the experts... We currently have a package booked with Disney (room, tickets, dining) but I am now wondering if I might be able to save some $$ by purchasing an AP. Does anyone know if they offer AP savings on rooms in August (2nd week)? Also do you know where I can get information on what restaurants are included in the AP 20% off dining?

fyi - I called Disney today to put in my room requests (thanks for all the helpful hints) and the CM told me that I could not request turndown service because we did not have a concierge room  - we are booked in a deluxe/bunk/savannah.

thanks again,
Mara - yes, my name is the same as the restaurant at AKL :tilt:

Once you arrive call housekeeping and request turndown service. You should have no problem. Whenever we stay deluxe (nonconcierge) we simply call and ask for turndown. Love the chocolates on the pillow!!
