Just a few questions for my upcoming trip in 38 days![]()
![]()
1. What savanna's are the best with the construction that's going on right now? Zebra Trail (Arusha savanna)
2. I've booked a standard room with an AP rate, I was thinking of upgrading at check-in(paying for it). When I check the WDW website, expedia, and travelocity it says that all they have let for my dates are, standard and pool views. Can they be all sold out of Savanna views on a Sun-Wed in Oct? It's possible only one of those nights is unavailable for Savanna view. I'd suggest you keep checking, but if you don't find any Savanna availability, ask at check-in.![]()
3. Or are all the savanna views discounted to standard/pool view's because of the construction going on and the animals being moved around? Savanna views haven't been discounted; they just don't have as much availability as prior to construction.
4. Are ADR's really needed for Boma, and Jiko? Absolutely. Those 2 restaurants are VERY popular!
HTHs!

While it was nice to see the inside of rooms most of us will never be able to stay in, I think the show could have focused a bit more on the realistic side of the AKL. No shots of the pool, no talk about the activities, except the storyteller, and she only went to Jiko? What about Boma, and even Mara? Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful to see and even the DH is super excited to go (in 16 days!!!
), but I just would have liked to see a bit more of the Lodge itself, and less of Animal Kingdom. I have already watched every Travel Channel show on WDW, so I didn't need to see Dinosaur. The Sunrise Safari was nice, but she didn't even touch on the fact that it is special, that it stops when there are animals around and that the guide answers your questions. She just made it look like a really early ride on Killimanjaro Safari.
I liked the show, but wish they would have left out the Animal Kingdom stuff and made her stay at the Lodge and do stuff there. Just my little rant.
Have a good weekend!

. I can tell you that you sure can't fit a lot of 3 oz bottles in a one quart bag!!! Did you know you can't even pack toothpaste larger than 3 oz in your carry-on? It looks like the majority of the stuff is going to have to be checked, and hope that it all makes it to our destination. Today, I started packing.........
