So.....I'm still here! And still pregnant!

BUT, all is well. I was supposed to go in last night to start being induced, but a very sick pregnant woman came in as an emergency and since we live in a small town with a small hospital-anything that can be pushed back, gets pushed back-and that meant me and little AKL lover.

Then it was going to be tonight/tomorrow, but they already had someone on the schedule, so I'm pushed back to tomorrow night/Saturday.

With all that said-I am thinking about waiting another week to see if the little tyke will come on his own. He's not under any stress, still moving good, still healthy...so, why push the envelope? I'm not all that miserable-swollen and sore-yes, but I can handle it for a while more!

And today I've had some of those "tell-tale" signs-cramping, stomach ache, lower back pain...hmmm....

So anyway, the newest little WDW/AKL lover hasn't been born yet, but very very soon!

Sound like the little one is just taking his time, so why rush him! It just SEEMS like you're pregnant forever.....but then, they are here, and then before you know it, they start college!!!!!!!! Okay, I'm pushing it, but you get the picture. Seriously, I hope you have him really soon, and we get a post on here telling us the good news. Best of Luck and Congratulations in Advance!!

I wish the Samantha Brown show focused more on the realistic version of AKL. Don't get me wrong, it was really nice to see the Presidential Suite, but I would have enjoyed seeing the pool, more common areas, etc. Then again, maybe its better this way so it will be a "surprise" when we get there. In any event, 2 weeks from tomorrow I will be there!! Whoooo hooo!!!!

I can't even put into words how psyched I am!! We are on the verge of single digits. Its virtually time to start packing. Funny, in my family the DH has the bum leg and I have the bad back!!

I mean...granted, it's not got the production values of Great Hotels..but it still gives you a nice "taste" of AKL (and helps stave off the AKL "jonses", too).

I was so excited to see Samantha Brown at AKL, but she skimmed over too much of the actual hotel. I would have like to see more of the more affordable rooms more and a lot more of the grounds.

My DH still thinks were staying at CSR. I think I might have given away the secret stay at AKL though. He thought I was just a little too interested in the show!

Thanks for posting that video Pilferk! We are staying 9 nights and 10 days at AKL/AKV Oct. 19th - 28th. 4 nights in a standard room and 5 nights in a one bedroom Savana view room with our AKV points. The video has helped me get even more excited about our trip.

You guys are the experts. What I really want is 3rd floor (unless I can convince DH to go concierge), Zebra Trail Arusha view. Is this too much to ask for? I want Zebra Trail because I believe the construction of the new DVC building is on the other side. I want 3rd floor, just because I think it would be better. and I want Arusha because it has zebras (my DD 17 insists on zebras) and I have heard it is the best view. This will be our only visit to AKL as my husband is not a big DW fan (crazy I know). So...can I ask for it all or would I be better off just requesting 3rd floor Zebra Trail. I don't want to tick anyone off by asking for too much or being too specific. But hey, I'm not asking for a specific room number...right?

....you can request 3rd floor - Zebra Trail as long as you've paid for a savannah view. Otherwise, you will get a room that is to the RIGHT as you walk down the corridor. Those rooms are POOL VIEW rooms....

Exactly my thoughts. More then likely I will probably never step foot into the Presidential Suite so it was cool to see what it would be like to live like a Queen. I was hoping to see the pool (and the pool bar..LOL!!), the arcade, the Mara. But like I said, I was torn about watching it because I want to be in awe when I step foot in for the first time and now it will all be a total surprise. Well, except for the hundreds of photos I've seen.

Just a few questions for my upcoming trip in 38 days

1. What savanna's are the best with the construction that's going on right now?

2. I've booked a standard room with an AP rate, I was thinking of upgrading at check-in(paying for it). When I check the WDW website, expedia, and travelocity it says that all they have let for my dates are, standard and pool views. Can they be all sold out of Savanna views on a Sun-Wed in Oct?

3. Or are all the savanna views discounted to standard/pool view's because of the construction going on and the animals being moved around?

4. Are ADR's really needed for Boma, and Jiko?
