....Kimmar, I can almost hear you singing! princess: (how are you doing buttering hubby up for that trip?!) :goodvibes)

...well, it DOESN'T look like I'm gonna be spending my 50th at WDW, but, on the brighter side, he definitely wants to go for Christmas.....:confused3 hey, better LATE'n'never.....

Hey! We are going to be arriving on the same day! What time are you arriving at AKL?
Our plane lands a little after 10. We are doing a *********** towncar so no long wait for the ME. I'm hoping to be at the resort before noon. Hoping anyway.... What about you?

I knew you'd be able to finagle a trip! I just knew it!;) So how'd you manage?

...well, you two guys just GOTTA meet and take a pic together so you can post it here.....;)

Scheduled to land at 10:30 if all goes well, and renting a minivan for 7 of us! We'll probably be checking in at the same time. Too Funny. I'm coming in from PA, and you?

That really is funny! I am coming from CT. Do you arrive on the 14th?? I've lost track of the actual # of days until we arrive, but it sure still feels like too long to wait!!! Who will you be traveling with? I've got my DH and DD6 who I will be taking out of her third week of 1st grade. Depending on who you ask, I'm either the most irresponsible mother or "the best mommy in the whole wide world"!!!

We've got 23 days to go (22 tomorrow morning!)! We are a party of 7 to start with, myself, DH, DS 27, DS 17, sister and her DH, DS17, and meeting up with her DD who is coming in from CA. So you'll see 8 of us in the lobby, with me and my sister in charge of the group! And as for taking your daughter out of school, I did it all through my kids elementary and high school years! Best time to go, and they were always able to make up the work. It'll be fine. AS a matter of fact BOTH my DS are starting college on Monday, and we are going in Sept....so you do the math!
Geez, I hope that school teacher whose name starts with a K doesn't read this post.:rotfl:

BTW, My sister in law used to live in Old Saybrook.....anywhere near you?

DznyDreamz;

We are coming from CT too, but don't get there until the 16th! Too weird. Where in CT? We are extremely SE CT. I am also taking my nieces, aged 10 and 12, out of school for a week. What a bad auntie am I!:thumbsup2

Oh and Tig-girl, we drive thru Old Saybrook at least twice a month on our way to the best movie theater ever! It's about 20 minutes from us, depending on traffic over the Baldwin Bridge. 95 was not made to handle all this traffic!

AMC, I'm laughing because it's truly a small world, like Kimmar sang for us so appropriately, and because I noticed your avatar, and my DS and I just got done watching a documentary on the Emperor Penguin!:thumbsup2
(I am also taking my nieces, aged 10 and 12, out of school for a week)And you'd be the greatest auntie in the world in their eyes I'll bet!

Tig-girl, the funny part is that I grew up outside of Philly, in a bitty town made immortal by Billy Joel. :rotfl: Small world! Not exactly NE PA, but I drive thru the Delaware water gap to go visit everyone still there. And I have loved Penguins for a very long time. Have a tattoo of one. People assume it's from Happy Feet, but I liked penguins before it was cool to like penguins! Happy Feet just made feeding that obsession a bit easier!

Well, I drive thru that "bitty town" to get to that other place made famous by steel, to go to work. This is so funny, really. It's about an hour & 15 min from where I live, which really IS a 'little bitty town".
DS loves penguins also, hence watching the documentary with him. I'm the luckiest Mom in the world to have a 17 year old son who will even sit and watch tv in the same room as a parent!

Well I will be sure to keep my eyes out for you. I will be with an adorable little red haired freckled girl and her cutie pie daddy!!

Pretty much anywhere in CT is near anyone, you can cross the state in a couple of hours. But I'm pretty much almost as far north from Old Saybrook as you can get. I live in Brooklyn...yes CT not NY. Its right in the NE corner by RI and MA.

I just ordered penguin flannel sheets, and I've got 20 years on your son! :lmao: My family still owns a farm in Fogelsville that I78 runs thru (used to be route 22 and old 22 runs in front of the house). My grandmother (nana) still has a house in Allentown. My grandfather (pappy) retired from Mack Truck, and I have family in Northampton and Reading. How small is that world!

Dznydreamz, I've been to Brooklyn for the fair a bunch. Showed cattle and horses for years, now just go back to reminisce (sp). It's a cute little town!

I'll be looking for you, and I will definitely come over and say Hello! I hope we both are lucky enough to get great rooms and the construction frenzy does not impact our trips at all. I think we are gonna be fine!:thumbsup2

I am North of where you are, I am extreme NE CT. So another local will be joining our party! Yahooo!!

I hope you are right. All I want is to sit on my balcony and have room service breakfast while I watch the giraffes. I LOVE giraffes so they were the prime reason we booked AKL. I suspect Disney has ways of getting the construction done without disturbing the magic their guests expect. Cheers to almost 22 days!! :dancer:
