Still here--2 days past now...BUT, today I haven't felt the baby move much and I just started feeling 'crampy' about 30 minutes ago. I called the OB-they are aware and had me drink some juice and monitor baby movement for another 40 minutes....so we'll seeeeeeeee!

In the meantime, I'm gonna read Kimberle's review!

Anyone have pictures of Savannah views from the 4th floor? Non-zoom if possible, I'd like to see how big the animals will be from my standard club level room.

Any construction updates? We were suppose to go in Jan, but now we are going the first week of Septmeber. So I was worry about this. We did have a savvana veiw now we have a standard view.

I do hereby promise to bring back as many pictures to share as my memory cards will hold and to update everyone as to the construction and everything else going on at AKL. I owe you guys!! You all have kept me sane with your photos and updates while I was waiting for our trip to arrive!!

What location should I have my fingers crossed for at this point? We are staying in two connecting standard concierge rooms (we had originally booked a single deluxe concierge room but due to them being ahead of schedule and me refusing to leave AKL *hee hee hee* we have the two instead). Do you think there is a chance that one of those rooms just might have bunkbeds? Thanks for any last minute input!

We were on the 4th floor. The view of the animals was excellent. Often, they came very near our room. Sorry, I haven't had time to download my pictures yet.

The latest info I've heard from IPO, your rooms will be 4th floor, arusha savannah, anywhere from just off the lobby to about half way down the trail. Not sure about bunkbeds - that's something you'll have to report back to us on!!

We are heading to AKL for our 1st time this November. For all of you who have stayed at AKL, I have a question for you. What kinds of food are sold in the Mercantile? I was wondering if they sold breakfast cereals, milk, light snacks and such to bring back to our room. TIA for any info!
