...and it was magical as always!
Here's a one-paragraph report...then it's get-ready for-Christmas and edit-my-250-digital-photos time!
Cass might disagree (I haven't checked to see if she has reported in...I was so hoping that I'd bump into her while there but no luck), but for our tastes the weather from Sat eve-Thurs a.m was GLORIOUS (one of the absolute highlights). Highs near 80 but with a breeze and low-to-moderate humidity, sunny with beautiful Florida cumulus clouds mixed in, terrific sunrises and sunsets, and balmy evenings in the 60s!!! As for the AKL, we knew we'd like it, but we loved it (it's now in my top 3 with WL and Poly). I'll tell you more later, but we had a room (2020, Giraffe Trail) that when I describe will have you wondering why I didn't ask for another one, but it was PERFECT for us! The worst part of the trip was the crowds...at summer levels even Sat thru Tues (which surprised us), then INSANE after that!
I'm really excited to edit my pics...I know I have some great ones both inside and outside AKL and all around WDW (I tried to take pics that were different from what I'd seen before in my many hours of searching). I'll definitely post a few in this thread before Christmas, but my plan is to update an old website with all my trip pics once I'm done editing.
Anyway, happy holidays everyone, and thanks for all your good advice and online camraderie!

My aunt lives outside Orlando, and she's feeling blue this holiday. I'd love to have a gingerbread house from the Grand Floridian sent to her. Do you know any way to do this? (like, do the Disney florist people do deliveries?) If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks so much.
Hi TiggerAllie! Well, Disney Florist does deliver...but I think they are limited to the LBV area. Check online at Disneyflorist.com---our daughter ordered a fruit basket for us.
Other than that, I know there's at least one service (the name escapes me) that will shop the parks for you, but then they mail what they get.
What a great gift idea...I hope you can figure out a way to get it to her. We brought home a shingle for my son-in-law (as well as a 5-pound holiday-decorated Mickey Rice Krispie treat from the Main St. bakery...what a hoot!)
