Hello Everyone Wow am I impressed. You all have been super busy here at AKL Heaven. I have a lot to catch up on so please give me chance to catch up with you all.

I have been super busy at work and home. However, we have just returned from a wonderful trip to San Diego for a family reunion that we turned into a mini-vacation. It was so much fun and so relaxing. We stayed at a wonderful hotel in Pacific Beach and enjoyed a junior suite within 70 feet of the water. Aaaah it was wonderful. Oceans, mountains and WDW are where I get my batteries charged, and believe me they were badly in need of a charging.

I see that our beloved Bob has been working on a trip report. I have not had time to read it yet (yet alone find it) but I am really looking forward to sitting down and enjoying.

When did Boma start doing wine flights? now that is certainly for me and my DH. Woo hoo

Sending prayers and pixie dust to all. I will catch up this weekend, Hopefully and join you all being an informed person.

We use the Delaware Memorial Bridge. We live close to Wilmington and Newark. It takes us about 2 hours to get to Wildwood.

Glad to hear that your SIL is returning from Iraq next week. My son called last week to say he is leaving Iraq on Sept. 6 (he has been there since Oct. 15). He must return to Germany before the Army will send him home. His three-year tour was up the end of June.

I tried the smallest version that Bob made for my avatar, still too big!!!

If anyone can figure it out........ please do!!!

For those who wanted to know how to add it to your siggie......... copy, paste and host it somewhere, like photobucket or something, then copy your img, or url into your sig.

Isn't that right??? If that is NOT how you do it, someone please advise for all those who want to add it to thier sig.

OK, from the info I saw posted on avatar guidelines I can only figure they want it under 3.6k (I think that's what it was). Not sure how this will come out, but I'll play with some compression and see what I can get.

Alrighty then, here you go. Cropped, reduced to 50 pixels on the "long" side and optimized. At least you get to keep the "sparklies". Final file size = 3.7k:

The picture I posted of the wines were from Boma & cost $9.00. Not sure where else you can do this, maybe the lounge

Anyone have details on the wine flights? I won't be dining at Boma for dinner (only breakfast) or Jiko's, but would love to sample some different African wines. Where can I do this at AKL? (I'll have my DD8 with me).

Angel: This is the best news! A vacation ticker is just for fun, but your ticker.....now that is one special event to count down. He is in my prayers until his feet touch US soil, and after that I'm sure. I can't seem to break good habits .

Well, it took me a couple of hours and with the help of Wendypooh, Kimmar and Scoutsmom, I got my AKL sign. After all that hard work I, I mean we, deserve a Victoria Falls Mist, a Nahtazu, and a flight of African Wines (I prefer white). Thanks for all the help!

Heheh, glad it worked for you. Sorry it had to be so small, but that 4k file limit makes it tough.

Ya know, it just struck me, but I have about .3k left in file size and a good 50 pixel buffer on image size... I might be able to personalize those for you... let me play with that a bit...

Question for all the AKl transportation experts: For a 9:30 breakfast at Ohana, is it better to take the bus to AK then to the Poly or bus to MK then monorail to the Poly or should I just take a cab? If we take the buses how long will it take? Thanks!

Oh, yes I would like one of the Zebra domes please! Hopefully we will be dining there in 28 days.
