Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone for my trip, but I'm afraid I already messed things up. You aren't going to believe what I've done. I forgot my cameras!! Can you believe it?? I was so upset when I left yesterday and got about 3 hours south and remembered. I got someone back home to agree to ship them to the Lodge via overnight delivery, but I've never had to do this before, so I have a question. On the airbill, I put my name and reservation number. Do I need to call them and let them know it's coming? Or, is there anything else I need to do to make sure it gets to me? I have the tracking number. The package won't be delivered until Tuesday, but at least I can track it. I'm so paranoid they are going to get ruined in transit. I went yesterday to price replacements and it's just not in the budget right now. Any advice is appreciated. I feel like such an idiot.

Today I drive from Camp Lejuene, NC down to Daytona Beach, so I have quite a ways to go. I won't arrive at the Lodge until tomorrow morning.

Teresa, that is such good news about your husband. My son is in the Marines and there is a rumor he'll be deployed next March. He's still in school right now, but will probably have to go as soon as he graduates.

Kimmar, any news on your grandma? I'm still praying...

Shyjade, your daughter is just lovely. If I can finally get my mind on vacation and not on everything else, I will keep an eye out for you. Have a great time!!

kimmar - I'm sorry to read about your grandma...I hope she is recovering... it's hard to be so far away during times like that.

...I spoke to my mom yesterday....she's STILL in the Emergency Room...I can't beleive that they haven't put her in a room yet..... ...my mom also said that they definitely have to operate on her fractured/damaged vertebrae, but they still have to stabilize her....PLUS, she's VEYR sensitive to most meds - the nurse gave her an aspirin, to which she got a BAD reaction, so they have to give her a shot of Benadryl....

Kimmar, I think some of us are trying to lay low until we know you're grandma is okay.

But I just have to say....50 hours from now I should be arriving in Orlando!!

Kimmar I hope grandma gets into her room soon. Maybe they feel they can keep a better eye on her in the ER. Who knows other countries are so backwards sometimes. A friend of mine worked in St. Thomas and she said they held the ICU patients in the ER because there were more doctors there to keep an eye on the patients. I hope things improve for her. I will keep her in my prayers.

On a lighter note........I JUST PAID OFF MY TRIP!!!! That means I am going soon. The CM told me my documents would be in the mail next week. I am finally getting that Disney is just around the corner excitement!!!!!

So settle this bit of confusion -

allearsnet - AKL's concierge rooms are located on part of floor 5 and all of 6. The actual lounge and staff are located on the 6th floor.

intercot - Concierge: Concierge rooms are located on part of floor 5 and all of 6. The actual lounge and staff are located on the 6th floor.

Now I've seen this stated in DIS trip reports the other way around with - most of the room on 5 and only a few on 6.
So which is correct?

We'll be driving to AKL but one person in our family will be flying. We may pick her up from the airport and then take her back to the airport for our departing flight. Magical Express is also an option. If we pick her up from/take her back to the airport ourselves, is the airport far out of our way? We'll be coming from/going back to I-75 for our own travels.

If anyone has had experience with ME and AKL, please share those too in case we go with that option?
