Jambo Studio - Value Room Request?

Any room request suggestions for Jambo Studio - Value? Thank you for any input.

I was thinking they do not accept room requests on the value rooms but I could be wrong?

Conventional wisdom is they do not accept view/location requests for the value villas, although some have reported making requests.
Because there are only 18 value studios, AKV doesn’t have much flexibility w/ villa assignments - not every value studio will turn over daily - assuming they each turn over every 6 days on average (to make the math easy) that’s only 3 possible value studios available on the day you check in. The good news is that the value villas are all on the 5th floor & reasonably close to the lobby & that only 2 of the 18 value studios have parking lot views, 8 have Sunset savanna views & 8 have pool views (albeit including roofs) so you are more likely than not to get an ok view from your balcony. Even the front facing parking lot studios are higher up & have a small planting area w/ palms/shrubbery between the resort & the cars.

That's what I've always been told. However, last time (a few years ago) I was told that they would take a request for a particular room #. I just wanted a room with a view of the savannah, so I requested a specific room that I knew overlooked the savannah. Not only did I not get that room, the room I got was about as far away as possible and overlooked the pool. So for value villas, I just take my chances and hope.

DVC actually announced several years ago that it would not accept location requests for AKV value rooms. Nevertheless, once in a while someone reports being allowed one. The reason that has occurred is likely happenstance rather than any change in policy -- the particular MS person contacted just does not know that particular value room rule.

A request DVC does accept is for a dedicated studio (one not attached to a 1BR). That is a request, which if granted, would avoid the parking lot view value rooms because none of those are dedicated studios. There are four dedicated studios overlooking the savanna and four the pool, so your chances of getting a savanna view if the request is granted is 50%.

I've not made a view request for quite a while and we're in a Value Studio next month. Can I make the request for a dedicated studio online or do I have to call/chat?

Any request needs to go through MS via phone or online via chat or email

Correct. All the value room are even number except the parking lot view rooms. The odds of getting parking lot are the lowest of the views but still nice to improve the chances of avoiding them if possible.
