Jambo House Reclassified Rooms: Report Your Room Number

I want to update my Jambo House room database to reflect which rooms have been reclassified from Savanna View to Standard View. In order to do this, I need reports from people who have stayed in one of these rooms. I have two room numbers so far:

5203: Studio, Lobby area, Sunset Savanna side (hansel1)
5544: 1BR, Uzima, in a corner on the inside of the last spur (TwinsFan)

If you need help identifying your room number, this Jambo House room map is very helpful.

LisaS, do you know the breakout of rooms at AKV by view category? I have the breakout of room types (GVs, 2BR, etc.) for Jambo and Kidani, but I've never seen an official breakout of rooms by view category.

I don't have an official breakout, only one that I created myself for Jambo House only based on the location of the rooms. Until the reclassification, I did not see any reports where someone booked a Jambo House Standard View room and had a view of anything other than the pool area so I believe my initial assumptions were correct. With the reclassification, the data is no longer accurate so I will update it as we get more reports.

Lisa, we have a standard room reserved for Jambo House in July. One of the reasons we did standard is because we want to be near the pool. Do you think we should add "near the pool" as a request? What are the odds of getting one of the reclassified standard rooms? One of the reasons we went for standard over savanna was that last time we used points for a savanna, we were in a room that the foliage prevented us from seeing anything!

We got a Standard view studio for my BIL & SIL who were just there last week & my SIL said they thought it was a Savanna view.... She said they were in 5238 which is a dedicated studio by a stairwell - facing the Sunset Savanna. Not sure if that one was always a Standard view before or if it would be one of the reclassified Savanna ones you're looking for. But I know we definitely booked them a Standard view and I had told them that they'd most likely get a view of the pool....they were VERY happy with the villa. She said they looked out at a couple of trees where they fed the giraffes and they could see the little pond where the birds tended to hang out. Could it be that they had some sort of "free" upgrade?
