Jambo and Kidani

Does anyone know if you stay in the villas in Jambo house you can use the facilities at Kidani. Is it going to be one big resort like the Yacht and Beach club?

No, you may not walk over from Jambo and use the 2nd bathroom in my Kidani 1BR

I believe the serious answer is yes, Jambo users can use the Kidani pool and visa-versa. The unknown is how the walk and or bus transportation will work for the intra-resort transfer

Can't answer the second question, but I thought I read somewhere it's roughly a 1/2 mile walk.......

Before anyone freaks out about that, keep in mind IIRC i read that the average person walks 10 miles a day at WDW

From the FAQ on both the member website and public DVC information website:

Will Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas be able to enjoy the amenities at both locations?

Yes, Members and their Guests staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas will be able to enjoy the amenities of both Jambo House and Kidani Village, regardless of in which building they are staying.

Will the two buildings be in walking distance from each other?

Yes, there is an outdoor walking path between the two buildings (approx. 2,500-foot walk from the porte cochere of one building to the other).

2,500 feet = approx. 1/2 mile
