I'm really short on points so I was hoping to book a Jambo house 1 bed Value Villa from the 15th August to 1st September.

If I have researched correctly this accommodation is the lowest points for a one bed.

My dates are not quite here but I have searched the week earlier which includes the first 3 days of our stay and 2 days aren't available.

So the question is are we best to book individual days or do we waitlist the whole vacation?

If we are only allowed to waitlist 2 per use year if they are non consecutive days do these each count as a waitlist reservation?

Can we book the individual days so they are safely booked and then waitlist
the full reservation also?

Does anyone know if it's likely that the full reservation will become available?

Am I able to check online my what is available for my whole reservation as the system won't let me due to being outside the booking window.

I know I can get a resort which costs more points but the first 3 days ( from 12-15th August) are already going to have to be booked elsewhere as I will have used all my current points and borrowed all of next years!

Last question, does anyone know how many 1 bed Jambo Value Villas there are please?

Thanks for the help

At a maximum, there can be ten 1-bedroom value villas at AKV Jambo House. Those 10 1-bedrooms are all part of ten 2-bedroom lock-offs.

As for the wait lists, you are allowed 2 active per UY. If you wait list for two separate dates, each of those counts towards your wait list limit.

Yes, but I'm not sure what the point would be. The whole vacation waitlist will not work unless all of the days are available at the same time. The system won't just be looking for the days you do not have booked.

No. But you will see availability for 7 nights into the future when the booking window for your arrival day opens.

Since you are booking at the 7 month window, you do have the option to purchase up to 24 additional one-time use points from MS for $15 each. If you only need 24 or less points to get your reservation, perhaps the extra $$ would be worth it.

Good luck!

Oh dear if there is only maximum of 10 and they're also part of 2 bed lock offs I doubt I have a chance of getting 17 consecutive nights in August even st 7 months out.

Thanks for the information!

Thanks for your reply.

Even if i get the 1 bed value villa at AKL For 17 nights I will still need to book 3 nights elsewhere due to lack of points.

If I book a standard 1 bed villa I will need only have enough points for 13 nights and I will have to stay 7 nights off site.

I am now considering a points transfer to another member with my remaining points for this UY and staying offsite for the whole trip. I cam then use my full allocation next year and borrow what I need to get the reservation I really want!

I now need to go and brush up on rent/transfer rules as it's been a couple of years since I last rented out my points!

I am hoping for a points transfer this time though with them being current unbanked points!

Thanks again
Andrea
