Jaleo Post-COVID

Has anyone been to Jaleo post-COVID? I have a reservation in a couple weeks for my son's birthday, and since it would involve at least an overnight in Orlando, I wanted to determine if the experience is worth it. We can postpone if not.

I have not been to the Disney Springs Jaleo, but I have been to three other locations, and it's one of my favorite restaurants. Does anyone know if the menu is limited now? Are there any other COVID-related restrictions that may diminish the experience in any way? I'm perfectly happy wearing a mask, and I don't freak out if I see someone else take a quick mask break, so that won't be an issue. I appreciate any information posters can provide from their experience!

Bonus question: Does Jaleo still accept Disney gift cards? I will call them about this, but again wanted to start with the DIS community.

We had my birthday dinner there 2 weeks ago (first time dining there) and it was amazing! We did the Orlando magical dining menu and it was a great value and so delicious. We sat on the patio overlooking the water and had wonderful service.

The restaurant looked very busy inside but appropriately distanced. I am very COVID cautious and I felt safe going through the restaurant on the way in and out. Patio tables were also spaced generously and staff were all masked.

The QR code menu takes you their official menu online so you can see it ahead of time. It didn't seem overly pared down but I was only interested in the magical dining menu and didn't pay much attention.

@Aimeedyan, that Magical Dining menu sounds fantastic! And like you wouldn't need to eat for another 24 hours .

They do take Disney gift cards.

You would wear a mask to go inside and walk to your table.

At your table, you can remove your mask due to spacing and plexiglass-type barriers between you and nearby tables - at least that's how it was set up at my table. The menu may be a little pared down - I thought they normally had 2 types of paella but there was only one the night that I went. I had the chicken/mushrooms paella and carne asada - it was all very good.

Just dined there tonight. Great meal. Still maintaining distancing despite Governor lifting restriction. One of us order Magical Dining and another entree. Terrific value. Salt Foam margarita very good.
