Our delima..we are a family of four..(wife & me, dd 9 & ds 12) have been to WDW 2 times & a cruise in last 5 yrs & we are HOOKED! This year, because of the WONDERFUL dining plan this fall we are bringing our 2 neices (dn 15 & dn 12) whom have never been anywhere outside of Ohio and are being raised by their Grandmother! They are (understandably) somewhat JADED!!! Our kids are TOTALLY into the DISNEY thing, but we are trying to come up with way to pull our neices in, with out overwhelming them..NO FLUFF PLEASE!

We arrive Sept 26th for 6 days...

No Fluff huh...hmm..Do they know of Disney at all??? Wouldn't they naturally be thrilled. Thats about the age my sis and I went to Disney when we were kids, our parents surprised us. Told us the day we left. We had an incling..but was still fun to be surprised.
You could get them Birnbaums guide to WDW for kids..or teenagers..maybe looking through that will excit them a bit. Or maybe let them watch your travel DVD. If i recall there is a whole section on the DVD for Preteens/Teens.

Could you get them to help plan?

My 13 year old is loving finding little things to go into the "when we get to WDW" bags.....light up necklaces for the dark, fans, pins....that sort of thing.

Hard to have jaded kids but if you get them involved in the little things the big thing will mean more(coming from a previously jaded kid still a pessimistic adult). It also helps kids to know the little things so that they "know" they really are going....that's the hardest part of being a kid is being disappointed and assuming you always will be. I have a feeling the girls will get into the vacation when they see the castle and that there is no way this trip can be cancelled.

I would start with the "cool" things first like space mountain, RnR and ToT.

Ask if someone is going soon to WDW and have them sent a post card from one of the characters. I'm sure someone would be happy to be a FairyGodmailer for you. I was just @ dtd last weekend and would have been happy to do it for you....day late-dollar short as they say.
If you happen to have a Disney store near you get them a pin and lanyard so they can pin trade when they get to the park. My 14 yo DS loves to do this.

I don't think you really mean "jaded" - that describes someone who has already done so much that nothing new excites them. Doesn't exactly fit a couple of girls who have never left Ohio. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. They'll "get it" when they get there.

We're "pulling them in" ...They thought WDW was just like our local amusement park (Paramounts Kings Island) ..we showed em some of our old pic's & explained PKI is 1/2 of 1 park @ WDW! Also with the dinning plan we got HIGH ENTERTAINMENT ressies ...CRT, Sci-fi, Tepenyaki, Whispering Canyon & Liberty Tree ..We got the menu's so they can SEE the types of food! & when Shcool starts back they will be here after school & I'm SURE the wife will "adict" them to the DIS-BOARDS I'm sure they will have THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES
