Jacuzzi tubs or hot tubs in resort rooms?

Do any of the Walt Disney World resorts offer either Jacuzzi tubs or hot tubs in the rooms?

The one bedroom villas in some of the DVC resorts have extra large Jacuzzi tubs. Old Key West still had them in their villas last year. But they have been taking them out when they do the refurbs.

All of the DVC 1 bdrm, 2 bdrm and grand villa accommodations have Jacuzzi tubs. They are not huge "hot tubs", but just very large soaking tubs that are Jacuzzi's .
They are not taking them out during any refurbs , as they are part of the DVC contract , just like every DVC villa has a balcony or patio .
If you want a soaking "Jacuzzi" tub, just get a 1 bedroom or larger DVC villa at any of the DVC resorts, and you will have a soaking "Jacuzzi" tub guaranteed .
(Hint : renting points is your best and cheapest way to get a DVC villa if you are not a member) .

Someone posted a picture of the new bathtub in a BCV room. It looks like they have replaced the old tub with this model.

Maybe this is a Jacuzzi, I can't really tell.

People who have stayed there have reported on the DVC boards that it is a soaking tub at BCV instead of the jetted tub.

By the picture I would sa that isn't a one bedroom but a studio or the second bathroom in a two bedroom

Studios don't have stand alone tubs. They have a tub/shower combination. There are other photos of the new tub in a refurbished one bedroom at BWV that were posted on the DVC boards. The person who posted it said it is a soaking tub with no jets.

I wonder what the original documents for OKW said about the fixtures in the units. Anything spelled out in the documents can't easily be changed because of some very restrictive Florida time-share laws. I've been a member since 1995, but don't know where my documents are right now.

I "chatted" with DVC Member Services a bit ago. It was frustrating and non productive. They told me to call the main Beach Club number. I responded, as we know, that was answered by an offsite Call Center who knows nothing about the BC and less about the BCV. They called that number and came back to tell me that Disney doesn't release that level of detail. When I mentioned contract concerns they told me to Email Member Service.
So long story short, folks are reporting this change, pictures seem to support it, and DVC chat knows nothing about it

Just got back from a week at BCV and stayed at a dedicated 2BR Villa and YES they removed the Jacuzzi Hot Tub and replaced it with a Soaker Tub similar to the one in the photo. I was SOOO disappointed. I spoke to someone at Guest Services and she said that moving forward all Refurbished rooms will have the Jacuzzi Hot tubs replaced with Soaker tubs instead. She says a lot of members have been complaining about the rising maintenance fees and they're trying to keep the maintenance fees as low as possible.

Nope, that's the tub in a 1 bdrm BCV room. At least as of January 2017 when we stayed in one.

The Grand Suite at the GF has a whirlpool bath in the master.

This thread is from 2016. There have been many changes in the DVC villas that are getting refurbished since then. One of them is not keeping jetted tubs.

We just got back from a split stay in an AKV (Kidani) 1 Bedroom and a lock-off 2 Bedroom at BCV.

The AKV 1 BR had a gorgeous main bathroom with nice, big Jacuzzi and big separate shower (AND another full bathroom with regular tub/shower).

The BCV lock-off had a very uncomfortable soaking tub (awkward to get in & out of, no jets, no ledge to sit on) , with a separate shower in the 'master' bath, regular tub/shower in the studio part of the villa.

This is very upsetting. I look forward to the jacuzzi tub on vacation. When I purchased dvc the 1 br and larger had a jacuzzi tub. What can the owners do? Do we have any recourse?

I wish I knew where my documents were. I would think something in there says that the unit can be refurbished but the type of fixtures and amenities should be the same

I doubt it says that, more likely it says fixtures and amenities could change.

BWV’s jacuzzi tubs survived the last hard-goods refurbishment there. Not sure about BRV. Considering the number of complaints of filthy jets I’ve read here and on other timeshare-focused social media sites, I’ll be very surprised if they’re not replaced with soaking tubs next time.
