14th July

Time for our day at Epcot – I have to admit way back when I started going to WDW in the early 1990 I could take or leave Epcot but it is one of my favourite parks now. We were up early and you could tell it was to be another hottie!

Arrived in the park just after opening and headed to Soarin as we did not go on this the last time as the kids were not tall enough and am soooo excited to ride a new ride. The wait time is already 40 minutes so we pick up fastpasses and head off to Nemo and friends. When we arrive the ride looks deserted and we find it has just opened after technical difficulties and we will be first to ride. I had to reassure DS that this was nothing like Crush Coaster in Disneyland Paris and this was a more sedate ride. It was a lovely ride and then as we came off we were first in line for the first Turtle Talk of the day.

I love this show and the kids sat mesmerised as Crush spoke to us!!!! After this we did Spaceship Earth with everyone trying to change the interactive bit to get a new story.

Then it was time for Soarin – I nearly ran along the wait line to get on trying to comfort Molly she was not going to be dropped from a height. As we sat in our Glider and we were asked to remove any flip flops I am sure the colour disappeared from my mum and Mollys face. There worries were soon gone and coming off the ride I was actually quite emotional – it was true Disney magic and if we could have we would have ridden this ride forever.

Next it was Imagination whilst waiting for our Test Track slot. DS said no way to Test Track but DS was game so off we went. He loved it although his face was a picture at the racing track bit. Off Test Track and back to Soarin for some fastpasses which were now into late afternoon and there was no way the kids were leaving until they rode again.

By this time it was very very hot so we decided on lunch at Electric Umbrella – Kids had the usual and I also ghad a kids meal as I was finding the adults sizes too big.

Once we were finished we decided on World Showcase until it was time for Soarin. First into Mexico and their ride which has been greatly improved due to the intoduction of Donald.

We then headed for Norway when DS and Granda went on their ride while we bought some ice cold watermelon and drinks to cool down. It really was surface of the sun hot today!!!

We carried on round the World stopping again in Japan and more Pokemon bits were bought and by that time it was time to return to Soarin. I have to say I felt a bit dizzy in this line but drank a bottle of water and had a sugar fix and was ok. We all enjoyed Soarin the second time and once we came off we rode the Land ride as it was cool then it was time to go home.

We popped in by Publix and picked up some salad and chicken and had a lovely evening by the pool eating, swimming and having a few drinks!!
